Annie Lennox and Cat Stevens have teamed up with former South African president Nelson Mandela to help him promote a new book documenting last year's (03) 46664 charity concert.

The 29 November (03) event in Cape Town - named after Mandela's prison number - raised money to combat AIDS and HIV, and featured live performances from such stars as Bono, Beyonce Knowles and Anastacia.

To mark one year since the occasion, a new tome was launched by Mandela in London today (25NOV04).

He told his star-studded audience - which also included Peter Gabriel and QUEEN stars Brian May and Roger Taylor, "I am glad you still come to hear an old man speak.

"You will recall the amazing night we had in Cape Town last year. This book is a record of that with pictures and words from all my friends involved."
