Anne Hathaway is fascinated by Duchess Catherine and loved watching her recent wedding to Prince William.
The 'One Day' actress thinks the newest member of the British royal family - who was known as Kate Middleton until she married Prince William in April - has a great balance between living her life as normally as possible while keeping up with her royal duties.
She said: "Bringing it back to my respect for Kate Middleton, they seem to have struck a really amazing balance between having a completely normal private life and understanding the responsibilities that their positions require."
Anne - who is in a relationship with Adam Schulman - watched Catherine and William marry in London in April on TV and thought the duchess was "brave" to make the commitment.
She explained: "The moment for me was when Kate let go of her father's hand and she walked the last few feet to William. I was hanging out with my friend Chris, in London, and I didn't mean to say it out loud, but I just went, 'Oh, you're a brave girl.' I looked at him, and all of a sudden, I'm like, 'Marriage is such a brave thing.' I was texting with my mom the whole time, and she says, 'Gee, it's such a fairy tale,' and I thought that marrying your best friend is really the new fairy tale, even if he happens to be a prince. I just thought, 'That's it. You marry your best friend. That's the new fairy tale.' "
