Anna Kendrick has signed up to star in 'The Company You Keep'.

The 26-year-old actress - best known for her performance of Jessica Stanley in vampire series 'The Twilight Saga' - will star alongside Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard and Sam Elliot in the Robert Redford-directed movie about a militant who goes on the run after a journalist threatens his identity.

The movie is based on the novel by Neal Gordon, and as well as directing, Robert will also star as the lead Weather Underground activist.

Shia LaBeouf is set to star as the journalist, with other roles taken up by Susan Sarandon, Brit Marling and Stanley Tucci.

Anna is set to play Shia's former girlfriend, who provides him with the information to put him on the tail of Robert's character.

Despite being best known for her part in 'Twilight', Anna has starred in a number of other films including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' and '50/50'.

She is currently filming the role of Rosie in 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' alongside Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Cheryl Cole.
