Anna Friel has face-freezing facials.

The 'Limitless' actress keeps her skin looking youthful thanks to the Cryoderm technique, which cools the skin to improve blood supply to the face - for £490 a pop.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: ''I'm a massive fan of reflexology and I've tried acupuncture on the face which boosts collagen. Also Cryoderm facials - I like to try different things to mix it up a bit.''

A typical 75-minute session involves microdermabrasion, which removes dead skin, and includes a massage to reduce puffiness. The 37-year-old beauty is in good company since Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole is also a fan of the unusual facial.

Anna likes to splash ice-cold water on her face on a daily basis to tighten up her pores and achieve a radiant complexion.

She added: ''Sink full of ice! As horrible as it is when you first get out of bed, splash cold water on your face every morning and keep splashing for a minute. All the old movie starts used to do it.''

The star - who is the new face of organic beauty range Trilogy - is a firm believer in eating healthily and keeping fit as well as having superficial treatments.

Anna advised: ''The Trilogy Gentle Facial Exfoliant is amazing. I also believe in doing a dry brush exfoliation once a week to get all the toxins out.

''Eat healthily, try and do Pilates. I've tried to cut caffeine out, I find it really dehydrating.''
