'Horrid Henry' director Nick Moore was surprised when 'Addams Family' star Anjelica Huston signed up for the film and ''so happy'' with the acquisition of Richard E. Grant.
Nick Moore "couldn't believe it" when Anjelica Huston signed up for 'Horrid Henry'.
The directed was delighted when the American actress agreed to do the family movie - which is based on the books and TV series of the same name - and was equally happy when 'Gosford Park' star Richard E. Grant agreed to a role in the film.
Nick told BANG Showbiz: "When we got Anjelica I couldn't believe it and I was so happy when we got Richard E. Grant to play Vic Van Wrinkle.
"He stayed in character pretty much the whole time, he was hilarious. We had a great time with him. There was a camerawoman from Glasgow who would chat with Anjelica in a Scottish accent so she could keep her accent."
Theo Stevenson - who plays the movie's titular character, who spends most of his time playing a number of tricks and pranks on his teachers and school mates instead of getting on with his homework - revealed it was "amazing" to work with the 'Addams Family' star.
He said: "Anjelica Huston was amazing. She bought us all presents at the end, she was really, really sweet."
'Horrid Henry' - which was released in the UK on Friday (29.07.11) - features a number of stars including 'Gavin & Stacey' actor Mat Horne, 'Bend It Like Beckham' actress Parminder Nagra and Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh.
