Soul veteran Anita Baker has announced a comeback album - 10 years after her last release of new material.

SWEET LOVE singer Baker did most of the writing for the forthcoming eight-song album MY EVERYTHING, which is set to be released on 7 September (04).

BRUCE LUNDVALL, president of BLUE NOTE RECORDS, says, "It's in the vein of what she's done in the past. There is no way you can put that voice in a different context. It is always Anita Baker."

Lundvall adds that when Baker decided to end her hiatus, she contacted him, saying she wanted to be on the same label as Cassandra Wilson, DIANE REEVES, RACHELLE FERRELL and "that young girl" (Norah Jones).
