Cult rockers Animal Collective are planning to take it easy in 2010 - because last year's (09) hectic tour schedule left the band "exhausted".
The musicians celebrated the success of their last album, Merriweather Post Pavilion, with a mammoth tour but the endless rounds of gigs took its toll on the group.
And band member Panda Bear insists they have scaled back on their concert plans for the rest of the year (10) to give themselves a break.
He tells BBC 6 Music, "There was just so much touring for us. We're not really road dogs. We were really happy with the record, so we wanted to put in a little extra this time. But it took its toll in terms of us just being exhausted. So I think all of us are trying to lay low just for a second."
But the rocker - real name Noah Lennox - is reassuring fans the band is not splitting up just yet. He adds, "There have been times in the past when I've thought we were done. So I don't know, this could be it. I don't expect it to be, I should say, but you never know."
