Angelina Jolie has taken time out of filming in India to pay an unannounced visit to Cambodia to oversee a conservation project. The Tomb Raider star has been shooting new movie A MIGHTY HEART in India and briefly met officials in Pailin, a former Khmer Rouge stronghold, north-west of the country. KEUT SOTHEA, deputy governor for Pailin municipality, said the actress, accompanied by a small party, arrived and departed by two helicopters, to discuss the forest conservation effort she has funded. Sothea added, "They came very briefly before flying out. They seemed not to have much time for us." Jolie is said to have promised up to $1.3 million (GBP1 million) over five years for the project.
