Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie was told to "be quiet" by Los Angeles custom officials when she attempted to help two confused tourists.

The TOMB RAIDER star was queuing at passport control in the city's LAX airport when she noticed two holidaymakers, who couldn't speak English, being interrogated by immigration.

According to British newspaper DAILY STAR, the OSCAR-winning actress attempted to help out, but was told to return to her place in line.

An onlooker says, "She was told to stand in line and be quiet. She seemed concerned."
