Angelina Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt look set to extend their family further as she has filed legal papers to adopt another child.
Vu Duc Long, director of the International Adoption Agency in Vietnam, today confirmed that they had exchanged documents with the Hollywood actress.
"She just filed the papers this week," Vu Duc Long said.
"She is not yet married so the file was from her individually. It will take a few months for us to consider this."
Jolie and Pitt visited the south Asian country in November last year and spent time in an orphanage near Ho Chi Minh City.
The pair have two adopted children together; five-year-old Maddox from Cambodia and two-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia. Jolie gave birth to their daughter Shiloh Nouvel in May last year.
In June Jolie said in an interview with CNN that she and Pitt planned to adopt another child but would do so based on the "balance of what would be best" for their current children.
"It's, you know, another boy, another girl, which country, which race would fit best with the kids," she said.
