Angelina Jolie hopes her new film BEYOND BORDERS and her work with the UNITED NATIONS will encourage American teenagers to leave home and travel the world.
The actress is convinced that America would be a better place if more people had a knowledge of what's outside the country they call home.
She says, "I had an awakening and I hope they (American youngsters) have the same experience - to realise that there's so much more to the world that they don't get in their headline news, that they're not taught in school.
"I hope I inspire them to want to learn, or go on the Internet, or get a backpack on and travel, or make sure their children know about other peoples in the world."26/10/2003 11:04
