Scott Rudin was furious with Angelina Jolie's attempt to have David Fincher direct 'Cleopatra'.
So at first all we got from the Sony leak was a couple of decent reviewed movies. But now? Now, we've got all the juicy stuff, including a ferocious exchange between studio co-chair Amy Pascal and produce Scott Rudin. We also got some pretty heated passages about Angelina Jolie and Megan Ellison.
Amy Pascal had an explosive email conversation with producer Scott Rudin
The focus of the fiery exchange was a back-and-forth between Pascal and Rudin concerning the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. Now, we already know that this project has been blighted by various drop-outs and casting problems, though it seems that David Fincher's departure may have been down to more than just money.

Everything was set up for 'Unbroken' to dominate the Oscars, though the critics aren't playing ball.
For the majority of 2014 - and some time before it - Angelina Jolie's latest directorial effort Unbroken has been talked up as a potential Oscar winner. Lord knows the Academy has a penchant for historical biopics and the story of Louis Zamperini is certainly one of the most inspiring stories to rise from the horrors of World War II.
Jack O'Connell [L] stars as Louis Zamperini in Angelina Jolie's Unbroken
Zamperini was a teenage track star at the Berlin Olympics in 1936 but was tested beyond belief as a prisoner of the Japanese during the Second World War. Presumed dead after crash landing in the South Pacific, Zamperini survived by clutching onto a raft for 47 days before being incarcerated in prison camps and beaten daily for nearly 3 years, all whilst kept on a near-starvation diet.

"Unbroken" was a much needed career move for Jolie, but "By the Sea" was more of a bonding experience with Brad Pitt
Recently, Angelina Jolie has made no bones about moving on from acting onto something longer lasting and probably more substantial. I’m hinting at a directorial career, if you haven’t guessed. But Jolie is doing far more than hinting. While doing press for her second effort behind the camera, the critically acclaimed Louis Zamperini biopic, Jolie managed to slip in a little reference to that other project she’s working on.

Jolie is in the process of editing By the Sea, the romantic drama she directed and starred in with Brad Pitt this year. Although she didn’t enjoy directing herself, the newly minted filmmaker said it was a much needed experience for both her and her new husband.
The 39-year-old actress recently opened up about why she prefers being behind the camera, and slowing down her acting career.
As Angelina Jolie is promoting her most recent directorial film, 'Unbroken,' she has hinted that her career as an actress is over and being behind the camera is what her future holds, but her retirement isn't set in stone just yet.
Jolie prefers being behind the camera
The Oscar winner recently revealed that she doesn't plan on giving acting up altogether, but she will only do "very little acting" going forward. However, even though she prefers being in the director's chair, Jolie isn't keen on the idea of directing herself.

The Oscar-winning actress will only enters politics if she can make a difference as she thinks "we simply are not doing enough" to help tackle global issues.
Angelina Jolie has been one of Hollywood's leading actresses for many years, and even won as Oscar in 2000, so after achieving all this success it seems the 39 year-old star is looking for a career change in the near future, and once again she is talking about entering the world of politics.

Angelina Jolie is facing some serious award nods for her second stint as a feature film director in 'Unbroken', and while filmmaking seems to be something this Hollywood superstar is naturally gifted it, she admits it was never on her to-do list.
Angelina Jolie never thought directing was on the cards
Having won countless awards including an Academy Award in her prolific acting career, Angelina Jolie is without doubt one of the brightest stars Hollywood has to offer. She is just as well known for her extensive humanitarian projects, namely regarding sexual violence in military conflict zones and has done more than her fair share of charity trips and million dollar donations. It was perhaps this that took her to her 2011 feature filmmaking debut 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' which dealt with an issue close to her work: the Bosnian conflicts.

Now storming through cinemas worldwide after claiming the US box office crown last weekend, the World War II tank-crew thriller 'Fury' is an old-school war movie that attempts to update the genre with a more internalised approach to its characters.

In a recent interview over the recently released 'Fury', Brad Pitt discussed how the film focuses on the psychological aspects of war.
With the recent news that 'Fury' has topped the box-office over the course of it's opening weekend, Brad Pitt - the film's star - talks about what went into the creation of this hit film. In an interview with the BBC, Pitt explains how the film was never intended to act as a glorification of war. "War is hell," he says, while discussing the film's dramatic impact. In his own words, the film "was about the accumulative psychic trauma that every soldier carries to some extent."
Brad Pitt stars as Sergeant Don "Wardaddy" Collier, alongside Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Jon Bernthal. 'Fury' follows the story of these five men who work together within the titular Sherman tank, throughout the final days of World War Two. According to 'Walking Dead' star, Jon Bernthal, "This movie is family drama. It's about a family travelling through hell in a metal box."

The actress was recognised for her work towards ending sexual violence in war zones.
Some might have already called Angelina Jolie Hollywood royalty, but now the actress has officially been made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II, during a visit to Buckingham Palace. As Jolie is an American the title, which is the female equivalent of a knighthood, is honorary meaning she cannot be addressed as Dame Angelina Jolie. Still, if Jolie wants she can refer to herself as the rather longwinded Angelina Jolie DCMG.

Brad Pitt is in Essex filming the sequel to 'World War Z' and he's been spotted enjoying the local pub and a fast food joint.
There are times when everyone, no matter how rich, famous or beautiful they are, needs a burger. Whether you've had a little too much to drink, are in the middle of a long motorway journey or have spent the day being chased round zombies sometimes it's time for Wimpy. Actor Brad Pitt certainly seems to have had that reaction on Tuesday (8th July) when he was spotted in Essex ordering fast food with his bodyguards.
Brad Pitt is reportedly a fan of the Wimpy donut.
Let's get real here.
Hey girl, did you know that Ryan Gosling is about to be a dad? Neither did anyone else until this week, but when he and girlfriend Eva Mendes broke the news, the internet exploded with highly inappropriate amounts of “grief.” Well, it was mostly just Twitter. Well, mostly just overdramatic Gosling and Notebook fans. But in honor of these poor lovestruck souls (you can read some choice tweets below) we’ve compiled a list of five other people you are never going to date – no matter how much you’d like to.
Gosling and Mendes got together in 2011, so he's technically been off the market for some time now.
Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. When asked to choose between this power couple, most people would be fine with either. Jolie is intelligent, charitable, worldly and stunning. Brad Pitt, even after his hey-day is… how do we put this delicately… hot, not to mention a creative and business-savvy force to be reckoned with. Fortunately for them, they seem to have found a good thing – lasting marriage, a whole litter of children and thriving careers to boot. Unfortunately for us, this means that both are off the market for good. The same largely applies to Beyonce and Jay Z, by the way.
Try as they might, some movies just haven't lived up to our expectations this year.
We’re half way through 2014 and lets just say, it’s been a mixed bag at the cinema so far. Sure we’ve had some triumphs but we’ve also had a few that have left us leaving the theatre wishing we’d just stayed home and watched Netflix. While they might have taken our money, here’s the 10 movies which left leaving the cinema feeling the most disappointed so far this year.

Is TFIOS worth the hype? In a word, yes.
The Fault In Our Stars seems to be emerging as the winner of this weekend’s box office race, after it made teens across the US (and the world) bawl their eyes out for three solid days. That’s what the tweets say, anyway. The film tells the story of a pair of teens living with cancer – the clever and self-deprecating Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and the disarmingly lovable Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort). As the two meet, fall in love and go on a life-changing trip together, they discover some truths about life, love and the meaning of it all.. As for the box office stats, well, those are nothing to cry about.

TFIOS, adapted from John Green’s bestselling novel (read all his books, if you haven’t already, seriously) is doing amazingly well not just in the US, but also in international markets. The film, which reportedly cost just $17 million to make, checked in at $26.1 million in domestic profits on Friday, and is projected to pass the $50 million mark by the end of Sunday, per Box Office Mojo. In international markets, TFIOS is expected to do even better, although the data is still unavailable at this time.

Angelina Jolie seems to have hinted that 'Cleopatra' may be her final acting project. What's the film about and why does she plan to throw in the towel?
We’ve been trying not to listen to them, but there have been plenty of reports circulating that Angelina Jolie intends to quit acting. Even more worrying to hear, it’s being reported that she has plans to act in just one more project before throwing in the towel. Riding high off the success of Maleficent you’d think Jolie would be buzzing off the fact that she’s reached the zenith of her career rather than thinking about calling it quits.

'Maleficent' dominated the box-office this weekend among weak opposition.
Angelina Jolie’s Disney blockbuster ‘Maleficent’ has taken $69.4 million at the final U.S box office count for the weekend. That means it’s now pretty much recouped its $180 million budget in worldwide takings and is well on its way to making a bucket load of cash. The competition turned out to be weak, with Seth MacFarlane’s ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West’ flat lining with $17 million.

The comedy was almost beaten by Fox’s X:Men: Days of Future Past, which itself dropped 64% in its second week. Elsewhere, the critically derided Blended and Neighbors (now in its fourth week) were neck and neck for the fifth spot with Seth Rogen’s comedy losing out.
Jolie could give up acting and refocus her attention after her upcoming Egyptian biopic.
Angelina Jolie has hinted that a retirement from acting could be on the horizon after she finishes her upcoming Cleopatra biopic. The Maleficent actress, who is currently promoting her dark fairytale retake, has already indicated that she'd like to step away from movies to concentrate on her humanitarian concerns.
"I've had a wonderful career and I'm very happy to have had all the opportunities to tell stories and work for as long as I have," she said last month at a Maleficent press conference. "I'm sure there will be more films but I am happy I am able to be selective and have fun with characters like this but I would like to focus on writing and directing and above all I would like to focus more on my work with the UN."

Moviegoers have fought back against critics who haven't been won over by Disney's 'Maleficent.'
There’s been a bit of a dichotomy in opinion when it comes to Disney’s Maleficent. Angelina Jolie’s eagerly anticipated film was released last week, and despite taking $70 million on its opening weekend, has received mixed reviews from critics. Jolie, who plays the titular character, has been highly praised for her performance, although it’s often noted that her acting is the redeeming feature of the live-action film.
Angelina Jolie has been widely praised for her performance as Maleficent
Vulture’s Bilge Ebiri sums up: “Jolie’s commitment to the part is admirable: She gives this Maleficent a real emotional urgency. But the rest of the movie lets her down.” Perhaps the most scathing review comes from Jonathan Romney at The Guardian, who gives the film just one star. Romney describes Maleficent as an “icky affair,” dubbing the movie a “messy live-action retelling of Sleeping Beauty” and criticising Jolie, who he claims is “equipped with a range of variable English accents.”

The re imagining of Disney's 1959 animation 'Sleeping Beauty' earns Angelina Jolie her biggest opening weekend ever.
Angelina Jolie's hotly anticipated 'Maleficent' earns the No.1 spot at the box office on opening weekend by earning $70 million, and also becoming the 38 year-old actress' highest-grossing opener ever.
Angelina Jolie as the Queen in 'Maleficent'
Cinemagoers flocked to the theatres to feast their eyes upon the reimagining Walt Disney's 1959 animation 'Sleeping Beauty', which sees Jolie look as compelling as she does frightening when portraying the domineering cold-hearted Queen.
They’ve been together nearly a decade but Angelina doesn't have any plans to walk down the aisle any time soon.
Angelina Jolie has been pretty busy as of late. Right now she’s promoting her new movie, Disney’s Maleficent, which is perhaps her biggest role in recent years. But Jolie is still one half of Hollywood’s most famous couple who after nearly a decade together, still don't plan to say ‘I do’ any time soon.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at the Maleficent premiere
The actress, who has been engaged to Brad Pitt for two years told USA Today the couple “don't have any plans to get married at the moment.” Angelina added that nothing was organised and she doesn't have a dress for when the big day finally comes around.
Disney rewrites its own history again with this revisionist version of its 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. As she did with Alice in Wonderland, screenwriter Linda Woolverton uses simplistic plotting and clumsy dialogue to turn a children's story into an eerily dark Lord of the Rings-style effects extravaganza. Fortunately, it's held together by an imperious performance from Angelina Jolie.
She plays the story's wicked witch as a misunderstood hero, a happy fairy who grew up in a magical realm next to a kingdom of humans who were constantly afraid of what they didn't understand. And things take a grim turn when her childhood friend Stefan (Sharlto Copley) brutally violates her in order to become the human's king. Now the two lands are at war with each other, and in a fit of rage Maleficent curses Stefan's firstborn Aurora (Dakota Fanning) to fall into a deep sleep before she turns 16. So Stefan hides her in a country house cared for by three bumbling pixies (Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville and Juno Temple). But it's actually Maleficent who watches over Aurora, and as they bond Maleficent begins to wish she could undo that pesky curse.
Yes, this is not remotely the familiar 17th century Sleeping Beauty fairytale: it's a completely different plot that reduces the "sleeping" bit from 100 years to little more than a power nap. It also re-casts Maleficent as a woman who had one brief moment of nastiness, while the increasingly paranoid and cruel Stefan is the real villain of the piece. The problem is that this shift leaves all of the characters feeling shallow and uninteresting. Aside from Jolie's fabulously prowling horned fairy, no one on-screen really registers at all. The terrific trio of pixies are sidelined in silly slapstick, while the Handsome Prince (Brendon Thwaites) is utterly hapless and Maleficent's crow-like sidekick (Sam Riley) is the victim of an over-zealous make-up designer.

The 38 year-old's latest portrayal in 'Maleficent' has been highly praised, but is this her best role ever?
Angelina Jolie's most recent role in Disney's 'Maleficent', the new adaptation of Walt Disney's 1959 animation 'Sleeping Beauty', is as compelling as it is frightening as she plays the domineering cold-hearted Queen.
Jolie as The Queen in 'Maleficent'
The fantasy depicts a prequel and "untold story" of one of Disney's most villainous characters ever, the 38 year-old actress brilliantly portrays how the Queen became wicked and the events that led her to cursing young Princess Aurora (played by Elle Fanning).
Angelina Jolie has confessed she would like to run for office, if she were to be "effective." What would a world with Angelina Jolie as the president be like?
No one can deny that Angelina Jolie is one very hard working woman. She’s a film star, mother to a massive brood and a humanitarian regularly involved with the UN. To the casual observer, Jolie doesn’t have much time for anything else in her life, you know, other than perhaps being the president. We’re pretty sure she could fit that into her schedule.
We'd like to live in a world where Angelina Jolie was president
Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos has been chatting to the Maleficent star about the possibility that she could run for office. He first asked her the question nine years ago, back in 2005. At the time Jolie had denied any intention to run for office. Why? “I have way too many skeletons,” she told the host. We’re just wondering here, where these skeletons real or metaphorical? Jolie was a bit of a goth once upon a time, she may actually be referring to some skeletons she owned whose maintenance kept her far too busy to run for office.

Angelina Jolie in a series of recent interviews promoting Disney's 'Maleficent' has discussed motherhood, her future collaboration with fiancé Brad Pitt and her possible wedding plans.
Angelina Jolie has been doing the rounds promoting Maleficent this week but it's not her soon-to-be-released Disney film which has us all talking. The 38-year-old actress has revealed a great deal of personal information including her stance on motherhood in Hollywood and her wedding plans with fiancé Brad Pitt.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the Maleficent event at Kensington Palace in London, May 2014.
The 38 year-old actress' on-screen reunion with Pitt will not be a big budget blockbuster: “It’s the kind of movie we both kind of love but aren’t often cast in."
If Angelina Jolie is definitely going to star alongside her fiancé Brad Pitt on the big-screen, their fans should expect to see something very different.
The last time the Hollywood power couple starred opposite one another was in 'Mr and Mrs Smith' nine years ago, which is when they fell in love.
News of the pair joining the same production surfaced earlier this month, but Jolie has only just confirmed this, describing it as a very "experimental, independent" flick, while speaking with Extra to promote her latest movie, 'Maleficent.'
The 'Maleficent' star is very appreciative of the position she is in as a mother and actress, “I actually feel that women in my position, when we have all at our disposal to help us, shouldn't complain."
Angelina Jolie, 38, is one of Hollywood's most sought-after female stars and has global notoriety, but she always keeps both feet firmly on the ground.
The actress, humanitarian and most importantly, the mother of six children, realizes she is in an easier position then most parents when it comes to raising her kids.
"I'm not a single mom with two jobs trying to get by every day," Jolie told the New York Daily News. "I have much more support than most people, most women in this world. And I have the financial means to have a home and health care and food."
Angelina Jolie’ daughter, Vivienne, was the only child she knew who didn’t cry when they saw her dressed as Maleficent. Vivienne plays a young Princess Aurora opposite her mother in the upcoming film ‘Maleficent’.
Angelina Jolie described the difficulties of acting alongside her 4-year-old daughter Vivienne whilst in Maleficent and how Vivienne was the only child she knew who didn’t cry when they saw her in her Maleficent costume.
Jolie explained how she had not wanted her daughter in the film for the sake of being in a role but because Vivienne was the only child who didn’t cry when she saw Jolie as Maleficent! Speaking to the BBC, Jolie said Vivienne is “in two scenes, they’re cute little scenes – but I’m her mom,” adding “It wasn’t that I wanted her in a film, it was out of necessity.”

It's just over a couple of weeks until 'Maleficent' finally comes out. Find out all the reasons why we can hardly sleep until it does!
You may have noticed we’re slightly excited about Disney's Maleficent finally coming out on May 30. OK, OK, we’ve hardly been able to sleep we’re THAT excited! Everywhere we look there’s reminders of how freaking fantastic it’s going to be (Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning’s shoes they’ve been rocking at the premieres, anyone?), but it’s these ten reasons that are keeping us up at night.

Ahead of the release of her new movie, the actress got personal with Elle.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt might seem like the perfect couple now (or as close to perfect as any human couple can be anyway), but it wasn’t always so. Before the two found their little slice of heaven in each other and their brood of children, Jolie had all but given up on finding love, the Maleficent actress says in the June issue of Elle. In an interview to go with her stunning cover, Jolie andmits: "I never thought I'd have children, I never thought I'd be in love, I never thought I'd meet the right person."
Jolie is about to reinvent the original Disney villain, Maleficent.
Apparently she had a pretty good reason to believe that too.
The 38 year-old actress is now a mother of six and engaged to Brad Pitt, but at one time she recalls, "I never thought I'd have children, I never thought I'd be in love."
Angelina Jolie is the proud parent of six children, who she shares with her fiancé Brad Pitt.
Even though the 38 year-old actress has forged herself the perfect family life in these last ten years, at one point she thought kids and love would never happen or her.
Jolie opened up about her personal life in a rare candid interview with Elle, and explains why she and Pitt are "more interested in each other" than ever.

The Jolie-Pitt family might be taking their cues from the Carters and working on a surprise project together.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie news are usually a Hollywood highlight, but when the pair are about to film a new movie together, it takes the buzz to a whole new level. The power couple have not collaborated on a film project since 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
After a few rough months, Jolie is diving back into work.
The Hollywood Reporter first announced the news, but at this point, there is little else to report. According to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news, the project could be filmed from a script for a relationship drama, which Angelina Jolie wrote a few years ago. That project centered on a couple with issues who take a vacation in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. There is no director attached to the project at this time and there is a possibility that Jolie might direct it herself. Jolie is in post right now Unbroken, the true World War II tale of Lou Zamperini that she directed for Universal. It is also not known who is producing. So far, that’s all the information to report on the upcoming project, but watch this space for future updates.
Disney's dark new fairytale will surprise those who think they know the story...
Ready to check out the brand new behind-the-scenes featurette for Disney's new live action fairytale, Maleficent? Stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning talk about their thrilling new movie in this access-all-areas look at the making of the film, which exclusive scenes that haven't yet been featured in trailers.
'Maleficent' Takes Us Deep Into The Past Of Maleficent To A Time Of War.
The movie revisits the tale of Sleeping Beauty, the somnolent princess who was memorably immortalised by Disney in the hit 1959 musical fantasy animation. Maleficent focusses on the titular dark fairy who's played by Jolie and whose vengeful curse brings about the princess' death-like sleep. However, instead of painting Jolie's character as an out-and-out villainess, Maleficent looks at the character's turbulent past.
Scarlett Johansson finds her 'tacky' nickname 'insulting'. These other celebrities aren't so bothered about their portmanteau names.
These days it seems as though fame is cemented when the world refers to you by your very own portmanteau. Over the past few years it’s become a way of referring to our favourite celebs, because in the texting generation don’t nobody gots time to say their full names. Think J-Lo, K-Stew, J-Law, ScarJo, the list goes on. Except ScarJo wants her name taken off the list, because, well, she’s apparently above all that. Apparently starring in a Marvel movie franchise qualifies you as a serious actress, Meryl Streep style. Or MezStree as we like to call her. And she freaking loves it.
Scarlett Johansson thinks portmanteaus are 'tacky'
Scarlett Johansson, or ScarJo as we like to call her (and which is how she shall forever forth be referred) explained to Glamour magazine, “I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant…There’s something insulting about it.” Well, that's certainly very diplomatic and won't potentially insult anybody. Nice work, ScarJo! ScarJo ScarJo ScarJo.
Who knew Angelina Jolie appeared in a Meatloaf music video in the early 90s? These other celebrities have popped up in music videos, how many of them have you seen?
We all know that Lady GaGa loves to shock, so no one was actually that surprised to see the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills make a cameo appearance in her new ‘ARTPOP’ music video for ‘G.U.Y.’ Gaga isn’t the only musician to make use of celebrities in her music videos, although she is certainly the first to dress up reality TV stars as an ancient Greek chorus. The video for ‘G.U.Y.’ sees Lisa Vanderpump playing the tambourine, while Kim and Kyle Richards play guitars, Carlton Gebbia strums the harp with Yolanda Foster on the cello. No one can call Gaga unoriginal!
Lady Gaga is known for releasing outrageous music videos
Who remembers Courteney Cox’s cameo appearance in Bruce Springsteen’s 1984 video for “Dancing in the Dark”? We don't blame you if you can't, it was quite a long time ago and the Friends star herself was only 20 years old. The video sees The Boss pluck Cox from the crowd to bring her up on stage to dance with him.

Maleficent is a cruel sorceress who will stop at nothing to destroy those who have stolen her wings and ruined her world. As a child, she lived happily in the forest kingdom with a powerful force inside her that she was mostly unaware of. However, it wasn't long before it spun out of control at the arrival of the human kingdom's brutal army, who were intent on taking over. She fought bravely as the guardian of her land, but her valour soon turned to viciousness when she is callously deceived. A new person now filled with a dark desire for vengeance, she takes it upon herself to curse the daughter of her betrayer's successor, forcing her to die when she reaches her sixteenth birthday. Can Princess Aurora persuade Maleficent to turn her curse around, or is the wicked fairy truly a lost cause?
Adapted from the 1959 animated Disney movie 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Maleficent' is the untold story of the film's embittered villain. It marks the directorial debut of double Oscar winning visual effects designer Robert Stromberg with a screenplay by Linda Woolverton ('Beauty and the Beast', 'The Lion King'), Paul Dini ('Superman' animated TV series) and John Lee Hancock ('The Blind Side', 'Snow White and the Huntsman'). It is due to hit the UK on May 30th 2014.
With the 'Maleficent' release only just around the corner, it's time to take a closer look at Angelina Jolie's new movie.
It's just over two months until Disney's Maleficent is released and we get to experience the story of Angelina Jolie's wicked villainess told in a compelling new way. Ever since the movie was first announced, the big tease has been Jolie's costume and director Robert Stromberg and his team haven't disappointed. Black horns, fiery eyes, chilling cheekbones and blood red lips all give Jolie's dark fairy maximum impact on screen.
Angelina Jolie Is An Image Of Pure & Unbridled Evil In 'Maleficent.'
In a new promotional banner, we see Maleficent with her mighty pair of black raven-esque wings unfurled as she glowers menacingly. Having watched the trailer, we have already learned that Jolie will be using an English accent in the upcoming fantasy film and that the movie will at least in part follow the traditional Sleeping Beauty tale that Disney first adapted in 1959.

Is the trailer for Angelina Jolie's new movie, Disney's 'Maleficent' the most exciting trailer ever?
We honestly don’t know how many times we have watched the teaser trailer for Disney’s Maleficent now. It's defintely into double figures, that's all we know for sure. As huge Disney fans (worryingly so for our age) the trailer is a smorgasbord of all of the elements that we look for in a great Disney movie. A beautiful princess, a magical kingdom, a menacingly wicked antagonist.
Jolie in full makeup as Maleficent
Maleficent is a new take on the 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty, and sees the story from the eyes of the ‘Mistress of Evil’, Maleficent. The catalysts which lead to her cursing the Princess Aurora are explored, and from the trailer we can gather they have remained true to certain aspects of the original story. From what we can tell there is definitely a feud between Maleficent and Aurora's father, because of which she places a curse upon the young princess who will go on to prick her finger on a spinning wheel.

Why was Angelina Jolie's youngest daughter Vivienne the only child who could play young Princess Aurora in Disney's upcoming movie 'Maleficent'?
We’re surprised that even without all the other children being too afraid of Angelina Jolie in her Maleficent makeup that her daughter Vivienne wasn’t the first choice to play young Princess Aurora. The beautiful little tot is billed to play young Princess Aurora in mum Angelina’s new flick, Disney’s Maleficent. The older Aurora will be played by Dakota Fanning’s young sister, Elle Fanning, and we have to admit, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt could definitely pass for a younger Elle! Very lucky for the casting directors, eh?
Angelina's youngest daughter Vivienne will appear alongside her in Maleficent
Angelina admitted that Vivienne got the role as “The other 3- and 4-year-old performers wouldn’t come near me. It had to be a child that liked me and wasn’t afraid of my horns and my eyes and my claws. So it had to be Viv”. We wonder whether Angelina’s scary costume will also be a bit too scary for younger movie goers? Maleficent has been rated PG but it does look as though little ones may be in for a shock when they see Angelina’s terrifying makeup.

Brad, as usual, played it safe with another classic and well-cut tuxedo and bowtie.
Louis Zamperini may have been a wayward child, constantly getting into trouble with the local authorities, but he would soon grow up to be an inspiration to people across the world. At a young age he joined his school's track team and eventually went on to land a place on the US 5000 metres team during the 1936 Berlin Olympics. However, as World War II hit the globe, he put his sporting career on hold to protect his country as a member of the US Army Air Force which subsequently saw him and his comrades captured by the Japanese army as prisoners of war after their plane crashed and they were adrift on the Pacific Ocean for 47 days. Louis' incredible determination and strength of character helped him pull through his ordeals and tell his story to the world and now, at the age of 97, he re-tells it for the big screen.

Who wears the trousers in Brangelina? They both do, obviously.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have gone home without any individual BAFTAs at last night's British Academy Film Awards but the Hollywood power couple have been two of the most talked-about attendees since the glittering ceremony. The actors turned up at the event in the matching attire of tuxedos and black ties and Angelina served as her fiance's touch-up stylist, tweaking his bowtie on the red carpet.
Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Rocked Up In Matching Suits At The BAFTAs.
Whilst Brad kept his look polished and smart, Angelina opted to dress her look down with an open-necked shirt, loose silk tie and tousled hair. The Tomb Raider actress' choice to ditch a party frock in favour of a Saint Laurent blazer turned heads at the awards and made her the ceremony's style icon.

Angelina Jolie's depiction of 'Maleficent' is visually frightening, and yet captivating, in the Disney fantasy's new trailer which premièred at the 56th annual Grammy Awards.
The newly released trailer for Disney's 'Maleficent' sends a chill down the viewer's spine as Angelina Jolie has never looked so evil and nasty, playing the cold-hearted Queen in the new adaptation of Walt Disney's 1959 animation 'Sleeping Beauty'.
Angelina Jolie as the evil 'Maleficent'
Unlike previous versions of the famed tale, this Robert Stromberg-directed fantasy depicts a prequel and "untold story" of one of Disney's most villainous characters ever. Jolie portrays how the Queen became heartless and the events that led her to cursing young Princess Aurora (played by Elle Fanning).
'Maleficent''s new trailer shows Angelina Jolie in all her Disney baddie glory.
Angelina Jolie has taken a break from the gun-toting, badass temptresses she's used to playing, to become Disney's greatest villain, Maleficent, and the new trailer shows exactly how scary she can be.

We wish him a happy 50th none the less.
Brad Pitt, who turned 50 on Wednesday, doesn’t want to make a big fuss out of his birthday. It’s too bad, since that’s what pretty much every tabloid wants to do. But instead of going on an opulent private island getaway or partying it up at an exclusive club in Vegas (clearly, this writer has no idea what the trendy thing to do is these days), the World War Z star has spent his big day… working. Odd concept, we know.
Apparently Brad isn't that keen on celebrating this year. Or at least on talking about it.

The heart-shaped island has apparently been bought as a 50th birthday present for Brad by his wife
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are often cited as one of Hollywood's golden couples, but when they're buying each other gifts like this, who can really be surprised. According to reports, initially reported by The Mirror, Angelina shelled out a tidy sum on her man, spending more than $20 million on his own private island off the coast of New York City.
For Christmas, Brad will either get a dinosaur or a unicorn
The private escape, known as Petra and found 50-miles from the Big Apple, was apparently bought by Ange for Brad's 50th birthday for a reported $24 million. The island features two properties on it, both designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, who Brad is said to be a massive fan of. Upon discovering that a heart-shaped island was for sale, one that featured buildings designed by Wright, Angelina had to put in an offer, one that has since been accepted.
Angelina Jolie did not purchase a heart-shaped island, called Petra, for Brad's 50th but it is still up for sale if they ever change their minds.
