Actor Andy Serkis refuses to worry about his input providing motion capture and facial expressions for the computer generated King Kong going unnoticed by movie fans.

Serkis instead preferred the challenge of generating the soul of the eponymous ape in Peter Jackson's remake, although he acknowledges his own features never appear onscreen.

He says, "What I love about acting is getting inside a role, and whether it's manifested digitally or I'm wearing make-up or a costume, it's the thought processes and the chance to work on something that's going to challenge me. That's the reward."
