Former Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows is set to release a new single 'Because I Know That I Can' on October 8th 2012 which will be followed by his solo album 'Company' on October 22nd released through Play It Again Sam records (Arcane Roots, Editors, Seasick Steve, Zulu Winter).
The counterpart video features Burrows playing acoustic guitar and singing on stage during what appears to be a string of talent auditions in front of a panel of three unimpressed judges. He is waved off the stage to be followed by a fire performer, a mime and a clown all of which fail to amuse the judges bar one pretty dancer who one judge is rather taken to. Burrows returns to centre stage before a hoard of rejected audition goers pour out from backstage and attack the judges. 'Because I Know That I Can' is a particularly easy-listening feel-good track with a great pop tune and simple drum use which comes as a surprise, it being what Burrows is known for.
Burrows has co-written some of Razorlight's biggest hits including 2006 single 'America' which charted across the world and reached number one in the UK charts. He also joined We Are Scientists as a part-time drummer when he left the band in 2009 but soon took the job as a full-time member.
