Actress Andie MacDowell has shied away from dating because she's grown used to life as a singleton.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star, 54, admits she hasn't been out with many men since divorcing her second husband, businessman Rhett Hartzog, in 2004, and the thought of stepping back into the dating circuit is a daunting one.
She tells America's Town & Country magazine, "I'm in an unusual stage right now, because I haven't dated in so long. The sense of isolation turns it all into a bigger deal. Just taking the risk of opening that door is really hard for me right now."
MacDowell was also previously married to former model Paul Qualley, the father of her three children.
