Singer Amy Winehouse Reportedly Sensed Her Life Would Come To A Tragic End Early, Telling Friends She Felt Sure She Wouldn't Live Past The Age Of 27.
Amy documentary director Asif Kapadia reveals when he was conducting research for the project he discovered the Back to Black hitmaker predicted her early demise.
He claims many friends and associates told him Winehouse was convinced she would join Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain among the celebrity members of the Forever 27 Club.
He tells the New York Post, "I've spoken to quite a few people who said that when she was getting to 27, she was saying to them, 'I don't think I'm gonna get past this age'... It becomes a mental block for artists."
Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011, just over a month before her 28th birthday.
