A musical based on the life of tragic singer Amy Winehouse is due to open in Denmark next year (13).
The production, launching at the Danish Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, will feature music from Winehouse's critically acclaimed debut Frank and Grammy-winning album Back to Black.
According to producers, the show will centre around "the enormous pressure a sensationalist public put on a young superstar when her problems began".
Writers have also taken inspiration from the star's interviews, acceptance speeches, newspapers, letters and songs.
Winehouse, who died last July (11) from alcohol poisoning, will be played by 29-year-old actress Johanne Louise Schmidt when the curtain goes up on 30 January (12).
