There's "so much pressure" on Meghan that she won't be able to enjoy the day, Schumer believes.
The gossip columns and celeb news outlets are focussing almost all of their energy on the upcoming royal wedding this weekend, with Meghan Markle and her family particularly coming under the spotlight in recent days.
The 36 year old marries Prince Harry at Windsor Castle on Saturday afternoon in front of the watching world and most of the global press. However, one celebrity isn’t buying into all of the hype, with comedian Amy Schumer reckoning the big day will “suck” for Meghan because she’s under “so much pressure”.
Speaking with Australian radio show ‘Fitzy and Wippa’ this week, Schumer said: “This poor girl. Your wedding, everyone says it’s your day. It’s your day. She’s like, no it’s not.”

Multiple sources have told Us Weekly and other outlets that Schumer and her beau got married in a small ceremony on Tuesday – the day before Valentine’s Day – at a rented house overlooking the sea in Malibu, California. According to those sources, the whole event was put together at very short notice.

Following the sexual misconduct allegations against actor Aziz Ansari last month that left the internet divided, the star’s friend Amy Schumer spoke about the fallout and where she stands regarding the wider #MeToo movement.
The week after the Golden Globe Awards, at which Ansari won an award for his acclaimed series ‘Master of None’, an unnamed woman alleged in an article via Babe.net that the actor had tried to coerce her into sex without her consent while at his apartment.
She later texted him to say his conduct had made her “uneasy” – Ansari apologised for misreading the situation. Following the publication of the article, Ansari addressed the allegations, explaining that he “took her words to heart” and responded privately to her.
Schumer clarified the content of a report in Variety earlier this week about pay parity with Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock - saying she didn't insist on getting paid as much as them.
The 36 year old star clarified what was stated in a report by Variety earlier this week, which claimed that Schumer asked for a higher fee to star in a Netflix stand-up comedy special after learning that Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were each getting paid $20 million for their shows on the streaming service.
She said that, while she did ask for a pay increase on her original $11 million deal for her ‘The Leather Special’, she did not ask to get paid the same amount as Rock and Chappelle – because they’re the two of greatest comedians ever and deserve more, according to her.

It doesn't really matter that the script for this lively action-comedy is paper thin: teaming up Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn on-screen is a stroke of genius. These two comic actresses have impeccable timing, and throw everything into this madcap jungle adventure. Yes, the dialogue could have been a lot sharper, the story more coherent and the themes more resonant. But as a guilty pleasure, it's a lot of fun.
It opens as Emily (Schumer) decides to continue with her plans to take a luxury holiday in Ecuador, even though she's just split from her boyfriend (Randall Park). Although taking her mother Linda (Hawn) wasn't her first choice. As they settle in at the beach resort, they meet Ruth (Wanda Sykes) and her ex-military friend Barb (Joan Cusack), who warn them about gangs of drug dealers who kidnap tourists. Sure enough, Emily and Linda are grabbed by Colombian criminal Morgado (Oscar Jaenada) and taken to the Amazon, where they escape and go on the run with the help of a rugged but pompous explorer (Christopher Meloni). Meanwhile back in America, Emily's oddball brother (Ike Barinholtz) is pestering a government official (Bashir Salahuddin) to find his missing mother and sister.
Instead of working out a clever story or writing something witty, the filmmakers rely instead on the skills of Schumer and Hawn. This leaves the movie feeling like a series of random set-pieces in which the actresses improvise a lot of goofiness, which is shaped into something vaguely sensible in the edit. The overall narrative is flimsy at best, but there are hilarious moments scattered through every scene, and Schumer and Hawn thankfully underplay most of it.

Emily is left completely broken-hearted when her musician boyfriend breaks up with her in favour of a life of groupies as his band takes off. They were meant to be vacationing to Ecuador together, and she refuses to give up an excuse for fun at this stage in her 30s so Emily decides to take her slightly reluctant mother instead. She also wants to help her mom revisit some of the fun she had in her youth. Unfortunately, they find themselves kidnapped by a mysterious man they meet in a restaurant and only manage to escape with difficulty. By now they are in the middle of nowhere with no knowledge of their wild surroundings and they're definitely starting to wish they'd never come to South America in the first place.
