Amy Schumer has reacted to the tragic news of a fatal shooting during a screening of her new movie Trainwreck in Lafayette, Louisiana on Thursday evening (July 23rd).
The comedian took to Twitter to pass on her regards to those affected, saying that her “heart is broken” at the developments. “My heart is broken and all my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Louisiana,” she wrote in the small hours of Friday morning.

The Princess Diaries actress took a trip to the cinema on Monday, to see Schumer’s new comedy Trainwreck and ended up enjoying the film so much she decided to tell the comedienne, even though she was used as the butt of one of the movie’s jokes.

Amy Schumer’s Star Wars themed GQ shoot was not approved by Lucasfilm. Schumer featured on the cover of GQ’s August edition in a shoot she designed herself. She was pictured in suggestive poses with robots C-3PO and R2-D2, can-can dancing with Storm troopers and partying in a bar with some beloved Star Wars characters. Some Star Wars fans took to Twitter to express their distaste and Lucasfilm was forced to reply, confirming they had nothing to do with the shoot.

Then having lived a commitment-free life she meets a genuinely nice guy and has to re-evaluate herself.

On Tuesday night’s edition of ‘Inside Amy Schumer’, a fictional boyband, that may or may not have been based on One Direction, performed ‘Girl, You Don't Need Makeup’. A song which may or may not have been based on, ‘What Makes You Beautiful’. As well as being pretty funny, the song also inspired women to tweet Schumer selfies of their makeup-free faces, using the hashtag, #girlyoudontneedmakeup.
