Evanescence Singer Amy Lee Has Recorded A Cover Version Of U2'S Hit With Or Without You After Waking Up One Morning With The Song In Her Head.
The rocker has released her rendition of the 1987 ballad via her newly launched YouTube channel, admitting the new arrangement of the tune came to her in a waking dream.
"Sometimes I dream in music," she tells Blabbermouth.net. "This dark version of U2's immortal song was playing in my head as I woke up one morning. I was lingering in that half-awake, half-asleep place, with no images - just darkness, this song and huge emotions.
"As I was becoming conscious, I just kept thinking, 'Don't let it go, don't forget!' And I went straight upstairs and laid down the synth and basic vocal."

"So I stopped breathing until my face turned kind of blue, and then afterwards, I was like, 'OK, I've gotta read it again'. Three days later, I found myself suddenly on an airplane, flying over to New York to meet Amy Lee. And we had some very, very cool talks. She's an awesome person... And so I found myself suddenly inside of this empire called Evanescence."
