Hollywood darling Amy Adams is being tipped to play the tragic part of Janis Joplin in an upcoming biopic of the blues singer's life. The Sunshine Cleaning star has reportedly agreed to play the role under direction from Fernando Meirelles, known for his work on City of God and The Constant Gardener. Meirelles also wrote the screen play for the movie along side JOSE EDUARDO BELMONTE.
The movie 'Janis Joplin: Get It While You Can' is to be filmed in California for Fox Searchlight Pictures. JANIS JOPLIN was a Texan born singer known for her wild and rebellious behaviour, she drank in excess as well as being a drug taker, she was also known to have been an occasional heroin user. JOPLIN died at the tender age of 27, her death was officially reported as a heroin overdose.
