By Daniel Falconer in Movies / TV / Theatre on 29 April 2018

Harvey Weinstein Piers Morgan

Disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein is hoping to be "forgiven" by Hollywood, according to Piers Morgan.

Harvey Weinstein is one of the most reviled names right now in Hollywood, with the disgraced movie mogul being accused by a number of different people of sexual misconduct throughout the decades. Currently undergoing treatment for issues that haven't been disclosed in an Arizona clinic, not much has been heard about the producer.

One of the most prolific accusers of Weinstein is actress Rose McGowan, who readily admits she doesn't think he'll be prosecuted for his alleged criminal activity. Weinstein has denied her claims and those of others who say he engaged in non-consensual sex with them.

On 'Good Morning Britain', Morgan asked Kym Marsh if he could get a part on 'Corrie' playing her character's love interest.

Piers Morgan has remarked that he would be happy to quit his role on ‘Good Morning Britain’ for a part in ‘Coronation Street’.

During a live video link segment on Monday morning (March 12th) in which Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Connor in ITV’s long-running soap opera, showed viewers around the show’s new set, Morgan asked her if she’d followed up on a previous conversation they’d had about him playing her character’s love interest on the show.

“Is there any movement on me getting that role of your love interest? My agent has heard nothing,” Morgan said.

A wide-ranging interview for 'Life Stories' with Piers Morgan covered the #MeToo movement and Harvey Weinstein.

Pamela Anderson has said that she doesn’t want men to “feel like they can't make the first move”, speaking out again about the consequences of the Hollywood sexual misconduct scandal.

The 50 year old former Playboy model and star of ‘Baywatch’ appeared on Piers Morgan’s chat show 'Life Stories', to speak about her career in an interview that’s being broadcast this Saturday (March 3rd). The topic of conversation turned to the MeToo and Time’s Up movements, and Anderson sounded a note of caution.

“Obviously, I am supportive of women and feel for women that have been made sexual advances on that they don't want, but I also feel for the men too,” she said.

He's hitting out at her use of underweight models.

Victoria Beckham has just been brutally shamed by Piers Morgan for her use of a shockingly skinny model in her latest eyewear campaign, and for the first time we actually agree with him. She might be a major player in the fashion industry, but this is a disappointingly outdated move.

Just when we start to feel like we're living in an age of body confidence and Sunday meal preps, something comes along to remind women that they'll only ever be considered beautiful if they're underweight. This time it's fashion designer Victoria Beckham with a campaign for spectacles featuring 29-year-old Lithuanian model Giedre Dukauskaite looking scarily slender.

Viewers criticised the moment when the singer was asked about her feelings on the news.

Mariah Carey was placed in a very awkward position during a video link interview with 'Good Morning Britain' this week, when she was spontaneously asked about her feelings on the Las Vegas shootings. Viewers have reacted with anger over what many have deemed inappropriate questioning.

The 47-year-old singer was supposed to be talking about her forthcoming tour in the interview, but given the breaking news of a gunman opening fire on a crowd at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Vegas - a city in which she regularly performs - she was asked instead her reaction to the shocking news.

How did he expect people to respond to that news?

When you happen to be one of the most contentious television personalities in the world, you tend to invoke spite at the times you wouldn't expect. Hence, when Piers Morgan revealed that he broke his ribs, he didn't exactly get a barrage of sympathy on social media.

The 52-year-old 'Good Morning Britain' co-host was forced to undergo hospital treatment this week after a fall left him with a few broken bones. He seemed in good spirits despite the incident if his Twitter post is anything to go by, but not more so than some of his followers.

Piers Morgan Slammed For Comments About Ariana Grande

By Ed Biggs in Lifestyle / Showbiz on 26 May 2017

Piers Morgan Ariana Grande

Morgan said that Ariana should have stayed in the U.K. to comfort the victims and visit kids in hospital, rather than fly straight back to America.

Piers Morgan’s mission to become the next Katie Hopkins is progressing smoothly, as the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter caused further outrage on social media by suggesting that Ariana Grande should have remained in the U.K. following the terror attack at her gig in Manchester.

The controversial journalist and television presenter made the comments on Thursday night (May 25th), re-tweeting a comment from Katy Perry who was praising the Queen of England for visiting injured children at a Manchester hospital a few days after the atrocity.

“Agreed. Might have been nice if Ariana Grande had stayed to do the same,” he said, suggesting that Grande’s decision to fly back to the States so soon after the incident was wrong.

The 'Shut Piers Up' campaign for Red Nose Day will see the outspoken presenter remain silent for 24 hours on social media if £50,000 is raised. Dig deep people.

In an ingenious scheme for charity that could probably solve the national debt crisis if applied to Britain’s finances, Piers Morgan has pledged to remain silent on social media for one whole day in order to raise money for Comic Relief.

The controversial ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter and former newspaper editor, 51, will not post anything on Twitter or any other social media platform for 24 hours on Friday (March 24th) if donations reach £50,000 – and another rival celebrity was among the first to dig deep and donate toward the cause!

Lord Sugar, the star of ‘The Apprentice’, pledged £5,000 to the ‘Shut Piers Up’ campaign, describing it as the “bargain of the century” in a video message he posted to Twitter.

Piers Morgan was 'gagged' by his 'Good Morning Britain' colleague Susanna Reid as they appeared at the NTAs - for which Reid was cheered.

The increasingly controversial Piers Morgan was booed as he and his ‘Good Morning Britain’ colleague Susanna Reid appeared at the National Television Awards to present a prize last night – although Susanna joked that she had “gagged” him as he appeared with a black band across his mouth.

“It's been a controversial week on ‘Good Morning Britain’. We've had tears, we've had tantrums – we've even had a walkout,” Reid told the audience after she took to the stage with Morgan. “So I've done what people have been urging me to do for some time… I've finally gagged Piers Morgan. Just enjoying this moment.”

Piers Morgan And Susanna Reid Criticised For Asking Politician Owen Smith About Viagra

By Ed Biggs in Movies / TV / Theatre on 20 July 2016

Presenters Smith and Reid received scorn on social media for their treatment of Labour leadership candidate Owen Smith on Wednesday morning.

‘Good Morning Britain’ presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have been widely condemned for “crucifying” the prospective Labour Party leadership candidate Owen Smith about bullying claims and Viagra use during a hugely awkward interview.

The politician, 46, is standing against Jeremy Corbyn in a bid to oust him as leader in the contest triggered earlier this month. However, though Smith was a guest on the show on Wednesday (July 20th) and was there to talk about his vision for Labour’s future under his leadership, Morgan and Reid seemed keener on grilling him about former claims of bullying and smutty questions about Viagra.
