David Beckham is a former British footballer who rose to fame while playing for Manchester United.
Net worth: David Beckham has a net worth of $350 million according to various different sources.
Football career: When he was 16, David Beckham signed to play for Manchester United alongside Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. He became officially professional two years later. He took a break from the team to play for Preston North End, but soon returned in 1995. Beckham cemented himself as Man U's right-sided midfielder and by 1996, he was recognised everywhere having scored an impressive goal against Wimbledon. The following year, he took over Eric Cantona's number 7 T-shirt. In the early 2000s, he and manager Alex Ferguson struggled to find common ground. Ferguson eventually fined Beckham for taking time off to care for his sick son Brooklyn, despite his wife apparently being able to look after him instead.
Between 2000 and 2001, United became the first team ever to land three Premier League titles consecutively, due to Beckham's dedication to the sport. The team missed out on a title in 2002 after he broke his foot during a match against Deportivo La Coruña. In 2003, he had to get stitches near his eye when Ferguson launched a boot at his face. Despite tensions in the team, however, they still performed well and Beckham landed Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. That year he also transferred to Spanish team Real Madrid, though he was forced to drop his famous number 7 for a number 23. In 2007, he signed with American team LA Galaxy, but was briefly loaned to Milan in 2009 for the first of two temporary stints he would take with that team. In 2013, he signed a 5-month contract with Paris Saint-Germain, before retiring later that year. His last match saw him don a pair of special Union Jack boots bearing the names of his wife and children.
Charity work: Among his other business ventures David Beckham has ran an Academy football school between 2005 and 2009. He has also been involved in various charity work and is named in Sunday Times' Top 10 most generous celebrities list (2016). In the list he comes in third having raised £5m through The Victoria and David Beckham Charitable Trust which he and his wife run. He has supported Unicef since 2005 and became a GoodWill Ambassador for their sports for development program making this one of his priorities. His work with the charity has enabled him to combine his passion for football and fundraising by playing charity matches all over the world. He is also a founding member of the Malaria No More UK Leadership Council and launched the charity with fellow sportsman Andy Murray.
Career after football: In addition to his numerous charity involvement he has appeared in films such as Bend it Like Beckham (2002), Goal!:The dream begins (2005) and more recently The Man from U.N.C.L.E (2015). Other work includes endorsing different products and brands as well as promoting his own swimwear and underwear range for H&M. He has also modelled for the likes of Calvin Klein and was named as one of GQ's 50 best dressed men in 2015.
David Beckham has launched his own Whiskey blend which is sold under the name The Haig Club in partnership with Diageo.
Personal life: David Beckham was born in London. His parents are hairdresser Sandra Georgina and kitchen fitter Ted Beckham. He has enjoyed football since he was a child, playing in a youth team and developing a love for Manchester United. He went to school at Chingford Foundation School. In 1999, he married Spice Girls star Victoria Adams (now just known as Victoria Beckham) and the pair have four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven. In total David Beckham has 32 tattoos (as of 2016) in which four include the names of his family. In 2004, rumours emerged in the media that Beckham was having an affair with his ex-assistant Rebecca Loos, with model Sarah Marbeck also making similar claims. He denied both stories. Both David and Victoria are happily married and when rumors surfaced in 2012 about him having an affair with opera singer Katherine Jenkins he took to twitter to defend himself against the gossip which he referred to as nonsense. He struggles with obsessive compulsive disorder in regards to even numbers and straight lines.

However, Beckham told British TV host Graham Norton that daughter Harper is very keen on the sport.
As a father of three sons, ex-professional football icon David Beckham must have been pretty hopeful that at least one of his boys would follow in his footsteps and play the game for a living too.
However, the English star has admitted that he’s a bit heartbroken that neither of Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are interested in playing football any more – though he’s holding out hope over his daughter Harper, who apparently loves the game.

The former footballer said he and Victoria have to be extravagant with each other
It seems even a £337 million fortune isn’t enough to sustain former international footballer David Beckham and his high-end designer wife, Victoria, after the model and entrepreneur revealed he and his wife are ‘saving their pennies’.
The former soccer star is 42-years-old and yet he still has a face to rival most men in their 20s. So it's no surprise, then, that one woman expressed suspicion when she clapped eyes on a rather dapper photo of him with his 18-year-old son Brooklyn and the editor-in-chief of British Vogue Edward Enninful on the front row of Victoria Beckham's fashion show in New York.
