Meek Mill is an American rapper.
Career: As a teenager Meek Mill formed a rap collective called Bloodhoundz and released four mixtapes.
He was signed to 215 Aphillyated Records in 2008 after releasing the mixtape 'Flamers 2: Hottest in tha City', and later caught the attention of T.I. who led him to two record deal offers from Grand Hustle and Warner Bros.
While working with Grand Hustle, he joined up with DJ Drama to release 'Flamers 3: The Wait Is Over' in 2010 featuring the single 'Rose Red'.
He signed to Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group in 2011, and released debut single 'Tupac Back', followed by 'Ima Boss'.
In 2012, he released debut album 'Dreams & Nightmares', featuring lead single 'Amen', which debuted at number 2 in the charts. That year he also foundered his own label Dream Chasers Records.
In 2015, he announced details of his second album 'Dreams Worth More Than Money'.
Personal life: Meek Mill grew up in Philadelphia with his mother Kathy Williams; his father died after being shot during a robbery when he was just 5-years-old. The family lived in poverty, and while Mill was rarely vocal, he became interested in hip hop after meeting local DJ Grandmaster Nell.
Mill began dating Nicki Minaj in 2015.
At 18, he was arrested for possession of a gun and beaten by police, who later claimed he assaulted them and he was thus charged.
He served seven months in prison for drug dealing and gun possession in 2008, and had his travel permit for touring revoked.
Since March 2015, Meek Mill has been involved in a heavily publicized ongoing feud with Drake.
The rapper's attorneys are also requesting a recusal of the judge in the controversial case.
Lawyers for the imprisoned rapper Meek Mill have launched a campaign to get his jail term overturned and to free him immediately, amid reports that the FBI is probing the judge who handed down the sentence.
Following reports via Page Six on Monday this week (November 13th) that the FBI has taken interest in Judge Genece Brinkley, after the judge made a series of highly unusual requests in the case, including that he drop his current management team, Roc Nation, and sign with Philadelphia-born manager Charlie Mack. Undercover agents have apparently been attending the court sessions in Mill’s case, suspecting links between Brinkley and Mack.
Now, the rapper’s legal team are launching a campaign for Brinkley to be recused from the case, in addition to a motion seeking his immediate release from prison and his probation to be terminated, according to Billboard.

Jay-Z is not happy about the court's decision for his friend.
A controversial decision hit the Philadelphia courtroom this week as Meek Mill receives a custodial sentence for violating his probation. However, given that the charges for the offences in question were later drop, the harsh penalty has angered many of his friends and fans.
The 30-year-old rapper - whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams - has been sentenced to 2-4 years in prison for violating the terms of his probation after being arrested for misdemeanor assault in March and reckless driving and reckless endangerment in August.

Minaj revealed that she and her rapper boyfriend had ended their two-year relationship.
Rumours that the music power couple had split up started at the end of December when 29 year old Meek – real name Robert Rihmeek Williams – briefly deleted his Instagram account and Nicki posted a series of cryptic tweets hinting that their relationship had ended.
Finally, the 34 year old ‘Anaconda’ star revealed that she had split from him in a tweet posted on Thursday (January 5th).

Meek Mill was recently sentenced to 90 days' house arrest, and 50 Cent criticised his handling of his various beefs with other rappers.
Meek Mill’s war of words with 50 Cent has been reignited with a vengeance, with the latter describing Meek as a “special kind of stupid” during a new radio interview in response to the troubled rapper’s diss at him in his track ‘Gave ‘Em Hope’ last month.
Fiddy became embroiled in Meek’s well-publicised feud with Drake in July last year, and has continued to poke fun at the young rapper, who was recently sentenced to 90 days’ house arrest for violating his parole in relation to a 2009 drugs & guns case.

“Make some noise for my baby father,” the ‘Anaconda’ singer told the crowd at Burgettstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday night (August 8th), who duly went berserk as the Billboard-topping rap star took to the stage. He has been accompanying Minaj on her North American tour, opening as the support act for his girlfriend.

Nicki and Drake are friends, Nicki and Meek are ‘engaged’, Meek thinks Drake uses a ghostwriter…this wasn't going to end well.
Nicki Minaj has reportedly called it quits with her ‘fiancee’ Meek Mill following his high profile feud with Drake. The rapper has been embroiled in a spat with Drake for over a week now, after he accused him of using a ghostwriter to pen his lyrics.
According to MediaTakeOut Minaj ended the relationship on Thursday, though the pair will continue to tour together to fulfil existing obligations. A source told the website, “It’s complicated. I think they took their relationship too far, too fast.”
Finally, Mill has come back at Drake's two diss tracks with one of his own.
Meek Mill has at last responded to Drake in the escalating, and increasingly entertaining, war of words that’s broken out between them over the last 10 days. The Philadelphia-born rapper fired back at Drizzy’s two diss tracks by releasing one of his own on Thursday night (July 30th).
The track, called ‘Wanna Know’, got its first airing on New York’s Hot 97 radio station last night. It sees Mill repeat the claim that the Canadian star uses ghostwriters to pen his lyrics. One of the barbs goes “n***** writing for you cause you know you never did s***,” and Mill’s flow seems to imitate that of Drake’s own ‘Started From The Bottom’.

This rapper feud doesn’t look like it’s cooling down anytime soon.
After being accusing of using a ghostwriter by Meek Mill last week, Drake has hit back with a second diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj’s fiancée. In ‘Back To Back’ which he released on Wednesday, Drake calls out Mill again and accuses him of riding the coattails of Minaj.
On the track Drake raps, ‘This for y’all that think that I don’t write enough / They just mad ’cause I got the Midas touch / You love her, then you gotta give the world to her/Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? / I know that you gotta be a thug for her / This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more’

Meek Mill described 'Charged Up', which emerged over the weekend, as "very soft... baby lotion soft".
Drake released the track ‘Charged Up’ over the weekend in response to Meek Mill’s repeated claims that he didn’t actually write his own lyrics, using a ghostwriter to pen his rhymes instead. It featured barbs such as “Wow, I’m honoured that you think this is staged / I’m flattered man, in fact I’m amazed… You boys aren’t gettin’ any of your feelings on me / You should embrace it this could be one our realest moments”.
In the track the Canadian rapper addressed Meek Mill’s claims and rhymes, ‘All y’all stare in my face and hope you could be to replace me / Snitchin’ on us without no interrogation / I stay silent ‘cause we at war and I’m very patient.’
