Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in next year's Batman vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but the British actor recently revealed the action-packed film is not a sequel to Man of Steel.
Zack Snyder directed the first movie and has taken charge of the new Justice League film, but producer John Schnepp has revealed the Mad Max: Fury Road director is in the running to take over from Snyder.
He says, "I think George Miller is a perfect choice to do Man Of Steel 2, he's going to bring so much to it."
Schnepp recently produced a documentary, The Death Of Superman Lives: What Happened?, about Nicolas Cage's failed Superman movie.
Meanwhile, Miller is the subject of a document surrounding his failed 2007 Justice League film, which was axed just months after Miller assembled stars including Armie Hammer as Batman, DJ Cotrona as Superman, Adam Brody as The Flash, and Common as Green Lantern.
Miller and executives at Warner Bros. have yet to confirm Schnepp's comments.
