The Australian singer-songwriter will release her second full-length album 'Tell Me How You Really Feel' in May.
After she teased new music earlier this week, Courtney Barnett has finally announced details of her next studio album, as well dropping the video for a new single, ‘Nameless, Faceless’.
It’s the first cut from her new album, titled Tell Me How You Really Feel, which will be released on May 18th via Mom + Pop, Marathon Artists and Barnett’s own Milk! Records.
The lyrics of ‘Nameless, Faceless’ describe the fear of walking alone as a woman, and its chorus alludes to writer Margaret Atwood’s famous quotation, “Men are afraid that women will laugh at them; women are afraid that men will kill them.”

There's already a ton of great acts listed to play at the Brecon Beacons event in Wales, with a bill headed by Oklahoma singer St. Vincent, London collective Hot Chip, who have just released their newest album 'Why Make Sense?', and local Welshmen Super Furry Animals.
The good news is the quality of the latest acts announced.

Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett has brought some attention to herself in the last few years with her warm and full of life indie vocal, carefree guitar playing and personal lyrics. Barnett has displayed this sound on solid EPs like 2012's 'I've Got a Friend Called Emily Ferris' and 2013's 'How to Carve a Carrot into a Rose', and now Barnett delights us with a full length in the shape of 'Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit'.
'An Illustration Of Loneliness (Sleepless In New York)' is mostly laid back with the exception of the elastic use of electric guitar in the chorus. Like a daydream in that it does very little in terms of movement, it still gives the song a significant amount of life, alongside the pleasant repetition of, "I'm thinking of you too". 'Small Poppies' is yet more drowsy with light guitar strokes and continuing themes of insecurity. 60s psychedelic influences also come into play with that hazy vibe and random note pattern. While the mood changes, the record remains warm and summery until it gets to 'Depreston', which is a shade darker. It's a nice breather from the vast fluorescence of the record without straying too far out of the flow.
Which are the best venues to visit this SXSW?
SXSW 2015 is set to take over Austin, Texas for yet another spectacular event, spanning numerous venues with countless showcases and hundreds of artists. We may be a few weeks away yet, but here's a little taster of some of the best places to be this year.
First up, the Parish is hosting some seminal shows all week, so this should definitely be at the top of your schedule. Wednesday, March 18th sees alt rock Londoners Wolf Alice on the bill, impressing with material from their EP releases; though we are yet to see an album release from these four. Equally, LA newcomers BØRNS are not to be missed, nor are San Diego indie favourites Delta Spirit. Thursday sees The Vaccines promote their upcoming album 'English Graffiti', alongside Palma Violets with 'Danger In The Club', while New York's Lolawolf brings their brand of sensational disco pop to the scene. Friday will be headlined by the Jarman brothers' band The Cribs, and Saturday will see appropriate surf-rock from Florida four-piece Surfer Blood.
Borns will perform at the Parish on Wednesday, March 18th 2015

Outside Lands Brings You The 2014 Line-Up! Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, Duck Sauce, Jagwar Ma And More
Outside Lands 2014 will be headlined by Kanye West, The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Possibly the only major festival where you can enjoy fine gourmet cuisine while rocking out to an eclectic variety of international artists, Outside Lands has now unveiled the 2014 line-up as it prepares to return to San Francisco this August.
We just can't express our excitement enough at the newly revealed line-up for Outside Lands this year. Topping the bill are the likes of Kanye West, The Killers and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers; three very different artists which see the latter become the first act ever to headline twice following their incredible set in 2013. Now in its seventh year, Outside Lands are showing signs of development every single summer, and at much benefit for the city with a percentage of every ticket sale going to San Francisco's Recreation and Park Department.
A day by day recommendation of this year's festival favourites.
Coachella Festival is nearly here, bringing with it one hell of a weekend chock full of great food, exciting entertainment and, most importantly, amazing music.
Arguably California's most eagerly anticipated event of the year, Coachella settles at the Empire Polo Club in Indio once again for the fifteenth year running between April 11th and 13th on the first weekend and April 18th and 20th on the second. It's not unheard of that a music festival was so good they had to hold it twice, but as of 2012 it has become a no-brainer for Coachella. In a nutshell, it is basically a big playground for grown-ups - though of course it is a family friendly event - featuring activities such as the 3 Legged Race, the Beauty Bar, the art studios, dodgeball and the almighty Pie Eating Contest, all while you're munching on a variety of cuisine from around the state and rocking out to some of the best bands you will ever hear.
