Rita Ora (born Rita Sahatçiu 26.11.90) is a pop singer from London who rose to fame after featuring on DJ Fresh's number one single 'Hot Right Now'.
Musical career: Rita Ora's first professional venture was singing on Craig David's song 'Awkward' in 2007. She soon followed that with an appearance on Tinchy Stryder's 'Where's Your Love' and a brief spell on James Morrison's albu 'Songs for You'. In 2009, she signed with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label and in 2012 appeared on DJ Fresh's number one hit 'Hot Right Now'. 2012 also saw her release her debut album 'Ora', featuring singles 'How We Do (Party)' and 'R.I.P.' feat. Tinie Tempah. The album was produced by Chase & Status and she supported it with a US headline tour. She also embarked on a UK tour following the release of final single 'Radioactive'. In 2014, she release the lead single from her second album. 'I Will Never Let You Down' was produced by Calvin Harris and reached number one in the UK. That year she also appeared on Iggy Azalea's single 'Black Widow'.
Personal life: Rita Ora entered the world in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia (now called Kosovo) but was raised in London by her psychiatrist mother Vera and pub landlord father Besnik. Her father added 'Ora' to the family name to make pronunciation simpler. Having always wanted a career in performing arts, she went to Sylvia Young Theatre School and St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. Though not especially religious, Ora has admitted her belief in God. There were early rumours surrounding a relationship with Bruno Mars, though she dated Calvin Harris from 2013 to 2014. She began dating rapper Ricky Hill in 2014.

The song has been slammed by a large proportion of the LGBT community.
The women of the LGBT community have reacted with fury over Rita Ora's new song 'Girls', featuring Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX, because of its depiction of female same-sex relationships. Charli XCX has responded to the backlash in a recent interview, defending her collaborator over her choice of song.
The outrage has been over the stereotypical girl-on-girl lyrics, including the suggestion of a threesome with a man and that the protaganist has been stoned and drunk while engaging in lesbian trysts. It's, frankly, a harmful exploration of such a relationship that panders to the male fantasy rather than any kind of realistic love affair.

More and more young women are going down this route.
Rita Ora has revealed that she froze her eggs a few years ago in order to take her life into her own hands. Of course, as ideal as it sounds - especially for someone who is often too busy to even contemplate starting a family any time soon - it's not an option for most young women.
The popstar - who's about to celebrate her 27th birthday - made the decision on a recommendation from her doctor. At £5,000 per cycle, it's merely a drop in the ocean as far as she's concerned, thus she decided to go ahead with the procedure in her early twenties.

The singer said she wanted to safeguard for future with children in it
Singer Rita Ora - who was last seen rocking the red carpet at the MTV EMAs in London in a bathing robe - has revealed she had her eggs frozen in her early 20s. Despite being just 26 years old, the Hot Right Now hitmaker said her doctors encouraged her to undergo the painful procedure to safeguard her future potential to have kids.
The treatment is similar to IVF and her family doctor told her to "strike with the iron is hot". Rita, who used to date DJ, Calvin Harris, revealed she would rather be safe and save them now.

In a wide-ranging interview with The Guardian, Ora also opened up about being hospitalised for exhaustion four years ago.
Pop megastar Rita Ora has opened up about the downsides of her hectic schedule in a new interview, revealing that she was hospitalised for exhaustion back in 2013.
The 26 year old British star’s second album is finally due to be released in March next year, nearly six years after her debut record Ora. The new album has been delayed after a lengthy legal wrangle to extract herself from a contract with Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation, which she eventually settled in May last year. She launched the lawsuit after feeling that the label had “forgotten” about her and refused to aid in her making or releasing new music.
“I lost a lot of confidence in myself,” she told The Guardian about the legal battle. “I thought: ‘What am I going to do?' It felt like the worst thing. But it was the only decision I could make. My appreciation and respect for them hasn’t changed at all.”
Ora will be hosting the MTV EMAs in London on November 12th.
Rita Ora has been announced as the host of the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards, with the ceremony to take place in London for the first time in more than 20 years.
The 26 year old singer will also be using the occasion to perform some new music, her first in several years, at the SSE Arena in Wembley, North London, on November 12th. The performance will also include her recent collaboration with Avicii, ‘Lonely Together’.
“I've always watched it, since I was younger,” says Kosovo-born Ora in reaction to her appointment. “I've always kind of had memories from the MTV EMAs and I'm from Europe.”
