Taylor Swift (born 13.12.1989) Taylor Swift is an American Country-turned-Pop artist, who has earned seven Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard awards, eleven Country Music Association Awards and seven Academy of Country Music Awards as of January 2015.
Net Worth: According to Celebrity Net Worth in 2015, Taylor Swift has a net worth of 280 million USD.
Childhood: Taylor Swift was born in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania to Andrea and Scott Kingsley Swift. Swift began writing her own music at around the age of ten. She went on to perform some of these songs live at local karaoke contests, festivals and fairs, before compiling her own demo tape when she was eleven. Swift travelled to Nashville and began handing out the demo tape to receptionists on Nashville's Music Row, and despite many rejections, she was later chosen to sing the national anthem at the US Open tennis tournament. With the sudden growth of her potential career, the Swift family moved to Nashville entirely. Swift gave a performance at the Bluebird Café, which was seen by Scott Borchetta of Big Machine Records. He promptly signed Swift to the label.
Career: Taylor Swift released her debut single, 'Tim McGraw', on 19th June 2006 at the age of 16. The film reached the 40th spot on Billboard's Hottest 100, and the 6th spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Later in the same year, Taylor Swift released her self-titled debut studio album, which was released on 24th October 2006. The album received glowing reviews, and shot to the top of the Billboard Country Albums charts, as well as coming in at number five on Billboard's 200 list. The film went on to become double Platinum in the UK and 6x Platinum in the US. On 14th October 2007, Swift released 'Sounds of the Season: The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection'. The EP received moderate results and topped the US Holiday Albums Charts, as well as reaching the 20th Spot on Billboard's 200 list.
It was swiftly followed by a second EP, 'Beautiful Eyes', which was released on 15th July 2008. The EP topped the US Country Albums charts, as well as reaching the ninth spot on Billboard's 200 list. The EP was still on Billboard's 200 (admittedly at number 192) by the end of the year - almost six months later. On 11th November 2008, Taylor Swift released her second studio album, 'Fearless', which received glowing reviews and became her first chart topping album. As well as topping the Billboard 200 list in 2009, it was still in seventh position in 2010, and was still in the charts at number 88 in 2011, and was still in the charts at 126th position in 2012. This helped the album become 6x Platinum in the US and Australia, as well as being certified 9x Platinum in the Philippines. 'Fearless' was still in the Billboard charts when Taylor Swift released her third studio album, 'Speak Now'. The album was released on 25th October 2010. Again, the album received glowing reviews and topped 7 main albums charts, including Billboard's 200 and the US Country Music charts.
The following year on 21st November 2011, Taylor Swift released her first live album from her world tour. 'Speak Now World Tour - Live' received moderate reviews, yet did not see as much success as the previous album. It still, however, reached the 11th spot on Billboard's 200 List. On 22nd October 2012, Taylor Swift released 'Red', her fourth studio album. It received strong reviews, and reached the top spot of ten major world album charts. It also became Swift's third album to remain at the top spot on Billboard's 200 list for six weeks, making Swift the first artist to achieve that in 43 years since The Beatles. Swift released her fifth studio album, '1989', on 27th October 2014. The album received strong reviews again and received very similar success and became the bestselling album in the US of 2014.
Personal Life: In July 2008, Taylor Swift dated Joe Jonas until they broke up in October 2008, when Swift began dating Taylor Lautner until December of the same year. Between late 2009 and early 2010, Swift was romantically linked to John Mayer. Between October and December 2010, Swift dated Jake Gyllenhaal, although they were seen together in January and February of 2011. Allee Willis doesn't sugarcoat her thoughts on the banjo cover.
The songwriter for Earth, Wind & Fire's 1978 song 'September', Allee Willis, has lashed out at Taylor Swift's acoustic rendition of the song for leading streaming service Spotify. She certainly didn't mince her words as she spoke about the 'boring' cover during a recent music event in Michigan.
Re-hashed as part of the 'Spotify Singles' series in April and recorded at The Tracking Room in Nashville, Taylor Swift's 'September' divided opinion with its banjo acoustics and down-played vocals. But it was the original songwriter for the song, which featured on 'The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 1', who had the most to say about it.

The pair have been involved in a very public feud for a number of years
Their feud has had the pop world hooked since it began at least four years ago. Music juggernauts, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, have traded blows during interviews, on social media and even in their songs. However, it seems those times are over after Katy sent Taylor an actual olive branch to heal their rift.
The man was identified by police as 38-year-old Julius Sandrock from Colorado, and it has been reported that he had rope, a knife, firearm ammunition, more masks and more gloves stowed away in his vehicle. He was taken into custody on Saturday (April 14th 2018) and released yesterday morning.

The singer was put on the spot about her feud with Swifty on American Idol
The feud between award-winning songstresses Katy Perry and Taylor Swift has been well-documented over the years since the pair had their alleged fall-out at least five years ago. But now, with Perry’s new role on reality singing show, American Idol, it seems Katy - at least - is ready to break the ice.
The 21-year-old 'Havana' singer wants everyone to know that she's not quite as easily led as people seem to believe she is, and that her decision to depart Fifth Harmony and embark on a solo career was purely down to her. Taylor Swift had nothing to do with it.

Swift confirmed fan rumours that the former Fifth Harmony star would be supporting her on tour this year - and added that British star Charli XCX would also be on board.
Rumours had emerged earlier this week regarding whom Swift would be selecting for her tour support, and the singer herself took to Instagram last night to confirm what people had been guessing at.
“This is a Reputation stadium tour update, and I’ve been wanting to tell you this for a really time,” said Swift in a video posted on Thursday night (March 1st). “The opening acts on the Reputation Stadium Tour will be Charli XCX and Camila Cabello."
Two songwriters had claimed that the chorus of Swift's song had been stolen from their 2000 song 'Playas Gon' Play', written for short-lived group 3LW.
A judge in California has thrown out a lawsuit filed against Taylor Swift for copyright infringement brought by two songwriters who claimed that she had ripped off lyrics of their song for Swift’s 2014 hit ‘Shake It Off’.
Songwriting duo Sean Hall and Nathan Butler argued in their lawsuit, which they brought last summer, that Swift had stolen lyrics from their 2000 song ‘Playas Gon’ Play’, written for the American girl group 3LW, for ‘Shake It Off’, which became an international megahit for Swift four years ago.
The 3LW song has lyrics that read: “Playas, they gonna play / And haters, they gonna hate”. Compare that to the chorus to Swift’s hit single, which goes, “‘Cause the players gonna play, play, play / And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”
Mississippi station WMYQ-FM has reportedly hired David Mueller as a presenter, despite losing the much-publicised court battle against Swift over allegations he groped her last summer.
Taylor Swift’s fans have reacted with outrage at the news that David Mueller, the DJ who was sacked for reportedly groping the singer at a meet-and-greet five years ago, has been hired by a radio station in Mississippi.
Mueller lost his job at KYGO-FM in Denver, Colorado after Swift’s security and management team complained that he had allegedly groped her buttocks during a photo op at the media event back in 2013. He subsequently sued Swift for $3 million, claiming she had ruined his career with a false accusation.
She launched a countersuit against him claiming that he had assaulted her, however, and during a court appearance last summer a jury ruled in Swift’s favour and Mueller’s lawsuit was dismissed.
Iconic record producer Quincy Jones has slammed Taylor Swift's songwriting.
The legendary music producer has taken aim at the chart-topping star's songwriting talents, suggesting that her tunes are too hook-heavy.
Quincy - who has previously worked with the likes of Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra - told GQ magazine: ''We need more songs, man. F**king songs, not hooks.''
