Childhood: Sean Anderson was born in Santa Monica, California, yet at the age of 3 months old, his mother and grandmother moved to Detroit, taking him with them. Here, he later attended the Waldorf School in Detroit, before moving on to Cass Technical High School. While studying at high school, Anderson became acquainted with WHTD - the hip-hop station of Detroit. The allowed him to show off his rapping skills, by taking part in a weekly rap-battle. Kanye West conducted an interview on the radio station in 2005, with Anderson racing down to show off some of his talent. After reluctantly agreeing to hear a freestyle rap by Anderson, West left with a mix tape of his, and signed him to his record label two years later.

Career: Big Sean released his first official mix tape, 'Finally Famous: The Mixtape', on 30th September, 2007. Two years later, on 16th April, 2009, he released a second mix tape 'UKNOWBIGSEAN'. 'Finally Famous Vol. 3: BIG', Big Sean's third mix tape was released on 31st August, 2010. After numerous delays, Big Sean released his debut studio album, 'Finally Famous', on 28th June, 2011. He followed this up on 27th August, 2013, with the release of his second studio album, 'Hall of Fame'.

Personal Life: From the age of sixteen, Anderson dated his high school sweetheart, Ashley Marie, with them breaking up in 2013. He then met actress Naya Rivera over Twitter, with their relationship becoming public in April, 2013. In October 2013, the couple announced that they were engaged, although it was cancelled in April 2014.On 11th October 2014, singer Ariana Grande revealed that she and Anderson were in a relationship.

Rap star Big Sean has told fans they will be able to vote for the set list each night of his upcoming Unfriendly Reminder Tour.

Big Sean will allow fans to choose the set list for each night of his upcoming Unfriendly Reminder Tour across North America.

The 'Clique' rapper has confirmed he will be hitting the road in April with Playboi Carti, Shy Glizzy, and GASHI, and he wants to make each night of the run truly special and unique for those lucky enough to be in attendance.

In a post on Instagram, the star revealed fans will be able to vote on his website for the songs they want to hear at each show, because he wants to give some rarer tracks the chance to shine.

Big Sean has gone interactive with preparations for his forthcoming Spring performances: The Unfriendly Reminder Tour. Fans will be voting on their top 20 favourite songs to render the set list for each date completely unique. It will be a different experience for everyone, and the pre-sale has already begun.

The rapper will be playing more than 30 dates across North America this Spring, where he will be joined by special guests Playboi Carti, Shy Glizzy and GASHI. It comes off the back of his 2017 I Decided Tour which he embarked on to support his latest solo album of the same name.

The rapper's third album 'Dark Sky Paradise' features contributions from Kanye and John Legend, and has made Big Sean a chart topper for the first time.

Rapper Big Sean has claimed his first Billboard chart topper with his new album Dark Sky Paradise. His third album beat Kid Rock’s latest offering First Kiss to the top spot by 27,000 units in the week ending March 1st, according to figures by Nielsen SoundScan.

Dark Sky Paradise moved 173,000 units in its first week on sale, a combination of traditional physical sales and track and streaming equivalents. Both of his previous albums, 2011’s Finally Famous and 2013’s Hall of Fame, both entered at Number 3.
