Justin Bieber was named three times; first with DJ Khaled, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne for Rap / Hip-Hop Song 'I'm The One', and second and third with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee for Collaboration of the Year and Favourite Pop / Rock Song winner 'Despacito'.
Linkin Park gave a moving tribute to their late frontman Chester Bennington as they accepted the award for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist. 'We want to dedicate this award to him, to his memory, to his talent, to his sense of humor, to his joy', the band said in their speech. 'And remember, you guys, all of you tonight, whether you're a fan or an artist, I want you guys to take a moment to appreciate what you've got. And make Chester proud.'
As usual, aside from awards, there were some spectacular performances - but also a few that raised eyebrows. It was Selena Gomez's first performance since she had her kidney transplant, and while you wouldn't have thought there was much to fault with her rendition of DJ Marshmello collaboration 'Wolves', many viewers were quick to accuse her of lip-syncing.

Whether or not that's true remains to be seen, but she did indeed look thoroughly exhausted after her song. Meanwhile, there were other viewers who kind of wished there was more lip-syncing on stagre, namely when it came to Christina Aguilera's tribute to Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You'.
She's always been well-known for her melismatic voice, but many people hated what she did to the late diva's hit. Whether you loved it or hated it though, Pink has shot down the idea that she was in the latter camp as many mistook her stare of amazement as one of utter scorn while she watched from the audience. Truth be told, she and Christina are well over their past rivalry.
'Christina f***ing killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever', she wrote on Twitter. 'This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina's talent. Show the clip where I'm in tears, you negative Nancys.'
