American Idol's audience dropped to 12 million Wednesday night, and it's 18-49 segment fell to its lowest level ever, Nielsen overnight ratings disclosed. While the figure was still good enough to give Fox a ratings win over its competitors for the night; it fell significantly below what NBC's The Voice and ABC's Dancing With The Stars drew earlier in the week. (On Monday, for example, The Voice counted 13.64 million viewers, while Dancing counted 14.47 million.) Idol wasn't the only Wednesday-night show to fall in the ratings. ABC's Modern Family drew its lowest numbers of the season and Suburgatory dropped to 5.41 million viewers from 8.97 million a week earlier.
