American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart has a "very, very good" chance of winning this year's show, according to the recently eliminated Casey Abrams. American Idol continues tonight (4th May 2011) with just five contestants left in the competition and Abrams believes the Illinois singer has what it takes to go all the way.
After being eliminated from the reality competition last week, Abrams has denied that he struck up a romance with Reinhart, telling US Weekly, "We're friends. We're musical buddies. Musical counterparts. We would always sit really close to one another and giggle about things, just talk about how crazy our schedule is". When asked whether Reinhart could be considered a potential winner, the crowd-pleaser was optimistic, saying, "Her chances are good. Very, very good. Her voice is incredible. The tone of her voice is like nothing I've ever, ever heard before. Never ever". Despite making a quiet start to this year's show, Reinhart has since emerged as a serious contender to win the competition. Her recent cover of Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' was lauded by the all-star judging panel.
Each of the five contestants will sing two songs on tonight's American Idol. Scotty Mccreedy and James Durbin are considered the favourites to win this year's competition, with Lauren Alaina, Jacob Lusk and Reinhart also in the hunt.
