On a night that featured three heavyweight talent contests, NBC's America's Got Talent got help indirectly Wednesday from President Obama, whose speech on Afghanistan earlier in the evening split up his viewers on the major broadcast networks, thereby depressing ratings for NBC's The Voice and Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. Talent , which aired at 9 00 p.m., after the Obama speech, averaged 12.05 million viewers for the night. Earlier in the evening The Voice drew 8.19 million viewers during the 8 00 p.m. half hour that it shared with the presidential address, then rose to 9.77 million at 8 30 p.m. and finally to 12.28 million during the final half hour at 9 00 p.m. Fox's So You Think You Can Dance was barely a contender, posting just 4.69 million viewers at 8 00 p.m. and then averaging 5.94 million over the next 90 minutes.
