Amelia Lily has had her parents defending her against the harsh criticism that Gary Barlow has given to Lily this week. Anulka and Barry Oliver, parents of Amelia Lily, are furious after the Judge attacked their daughter on daytime show 'Loose Women', according to The Sunday Sun.
After telling Lily that she had shouted her way through her 'Save Me' song last week, Barlow said on 'Loose Women': "I thought the comment was absolutely right, her performance was very out of control.Hers seemed to be very desperate." These comments have seemingly left Lily's parents shocked, and in response Anulka told the Sunday Sun: "Gary Barlow makes me so angry. He seems to have a personal vendetta against her and it's showing. If anyone is desperate it's him, for saying such things about a young girl". Anulka further elaborated: "It's getting personal and it has upset her. When I saw Loose Women, saying she was sounding desperate I was disgusted - he might want to save his own act but there's no need for that. You can almost see hate in his eyes, but she's a 17-year-old girl who is doing her best." They have now asked Barlow to come out and publically apologise for his comments.
Last night (26 Nov 2011), Amelia Lily sang 'Since U Been Gone' by Kelly Clarkson and 'China In Your Hand' by T'PAU; both performances which were actually praised by Barlow. The results of the quarter-final vote will be revealed tonight (27 Nov 2011).
