Actress Amber Tamblyn pranked R&B star Tyrese Gibson by recording a batch of songs for his upcoming album - as Kanye West's ex Amber Rose.
Gibson thought he'd stumbled upon the model-turned-singer's email address and invited her to feature on his project - but the recipient was actress Tamblyn.
And rather than own up to her real identity, the House star decided to have a little fun with the R&B singer/movie hunk.
In a blog post on StreetBonersAndTvCarnage.com, she writes, "Tyrese Gibson (of Fast and Furious and Transformers) saw my name cc’d (copied) on an email that a mutual friend sent out and thought I was the model ex-girlfriend of Kanye West, Amber Rose. (My middle name is Rose and my email adress (sic) is registered as Amber Rose).
"I’ve never met Tyrese before. He pulled my email addy (address) from that cc (carbon copy) list and emailed me wanting to work on an album together. So I recorded my demos on my iPhone and sent them to him. I guess you could call them Awareness Raps?"
But The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star has since apologised for misleading Gibson, insisting the prank was all in good fun.
She adds, "Tyrese is a very sweet guy with good intentions who made a mistake and I, being an actress and engaged to a comedian (David Cross), could not help myself. Tyrese, please accept my 87% hearfelt (sic) apology for stringing you along. I think we could have made beatufiul (sic) music together."
