TMZ alleges that Heard was arrested in 2009 for committing an act of domestic violence against then-girlfriend Tasya Van Ree.
In the midst of her ongoing allegations of domestic abuse against her estranged husband Johnny Depp, it has come to light that Amber Heard was reportedly once arrested for the same transgression against an ex-girlfriend.
According to TMZ on Tuesday (June 7th), the 30 year old actress was involved in an altercation with Tasya Van Ree at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on September 14th, 2009. The publication claims that Heard was arrested for misdemeanour domestic violence after grabbing Van Ree’s arm.

TMZ cites audio evidence it says it has obtained of Heard’s court appearance the following day. As previously reported, Heard was granted a restraining order against 52 year old Depp, days after she filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage.
In court documents, she alleged that he had abused her during her April 21st birthday day and, a month later, threw a cellphone at her. Soon after that, photographs showing bruises on Heard’s face, allegedly caused by him, were submitted as evidence.

Some of Depp’s friends are standing by him amid these allegations – with Heard’s legal team suing comedian Doug Stanhope for defamation after he suggested that she was blackmailing Depp.
“It is highly offensive and disturbing that you would choose to publish it in the first place,” Heard’s lawyer Peter Sample wrote in a letter to The Wrap on May 31st, responding to Stanhope’s claims. “[It] has no basis in reality and is nothing but the typical celebrity muckraking for profit.”
Meanwhile, Heard’s friend iO Tillet Wright took to Twitter to slam the “victim blaming” targeted at the actress.
BULLSHIT. I've had enough. I saw the bruises. Many times. And the fat lip. And the cut head. ?????? https://t.co/yIXrvAYuLp

“How much evidence does a woman need to present?! She has photos, texts, witnesses, and filed a restraining order,” the stand-up comedian tweeted, adding “But no… a neighbor asked a doorman and talked to TMZ and THAT is headline news and serves as 'evidence'?! Dear neighbor – SHAME ON YOU.”
