Amanda Seyfried bonded with Hugh Jackman on the set of Les Miserables by cracking rude sex jokes with the Australian hunk.

The actress was thrilled to discover her co-star Jackman shares her wicked sense of humour, and they livened up the movie musical shoot by inventing racy story lines about their characters' innocent relationship.

She tells Vanity Fair magazine, "We sexualised everything as much as we could. It was really funny, the moments we could find... it's like every movie has another version, another satirical version of itself."

And Seyfried insists Jackman, who plays her character Cosette's guardian Jean Valjean, is a dream to work with.

She gushes, "There is nothing bad to say about Hugh. He isn't human. I bet you anything he's got some kind of superhuman capabilities, beyond just being just the kindest, gentlest soul I've come across."
