Actress Amanda Bynes' parents have taken in her dog after the pet was allegedly harmed in a fire incident in Thousand Oaks, California on Monday (22Jul13).

The Easy A star was taken into custody and forced to undergo a psychiatric evaluation after allegedly trying to start a fire in a stranger's driveway.

Before police arrived on the scene, Bynes was caught on camera carrying her Pomeranian into a convenience store, where she entered into an employees' only area. Surveillance footage obtained by Tmz.com, shows the owner following her into the off-limits space, where he claimed he smelled gasoline and asked her to leave.

An eyewitness says, "I saw this girl laying down... with her left pant leg on fire. I quickly pulled over and there was this gas can right here and it's trailing fire. I pull over, went to go help her and the flames, by then, extinguished out. She went over there to get her dog - she had a small, like, Chihuahua... She was really frantic, like, she wanted to get out of there. She was like, 'My dog has been burned'."

This is the latest incident involving the troubled actress, who was cautioned by police just a day before for allegedly appearing intoxicated outside an old people's home in Thousand Oaks on Sunday (21Jul13).

In May (13), Bynes was accused of reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and possessing marijuana after reportedly throwing a bong out of her apartment window during a police raid.

She is also facing a charge of driving under the influence, after allegedly crashing her car into a police vehicle last year (12), and a further accusation of driving on a suspended licence several months later.
