Martin Freeman's actress partner Amanda Abbington has been fined after admitting two motoring offences.
The 41 year old, who appears opposite her husband in hit U.K. TV drama Sherlock, appeared at a magistrates' court in England this week (beg08Feb16) to plead guilty to two speeding offences. She was fined $870 (£600) and six penalty points were added to her driving licence.
Amanda tweeted about her day in court, telling fans she was "terrified" and branding herself an "idiot" for driving too fast.
"I'm at the magistrates court pleading guilty to a speeding fine. I've never been so terrified in my entire life," she wrote in a post on the social networking website. "I was going 38 (miles per hour) in a 30 (zone). I'm an idiot and, it would seem, a massive scaredy cat... It was two speeding fines. £600 and 6 points... Bang goes my clean licence... 36 in a 30 and 38 in a 30... I'm going at a snail's pace for the next seven years... (Court was) truly terrifying..."

Benedict Cumberbatch has reportedly called the police over ‘an obsessed fan’ who is said to have made several trips to the ‘Sherlock’ actor’s house, leaving red ribbons outside. The actor is said to have become concerned over the woman’s behaviour and she has now been issued with an official Police Information Notice (PIN) over harassment.

The Mirror reports that the woman left red ribbons outside Cumberbatch’s home on at least two occasions, leaving one tied to the star’s car and the other fastened to a window of the house. Cumberbatch lives in North London with his wife Sophie Hunter and the couple’s baby son.

A fanatic Benedict Cumberbatch devotee has been reported to the police by ‘Sherlock’ co-stars Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington after directing death threats against them online, claiming that they “giving him [Cumberbatch] a bad name”.
Abbington and Freeman, who appear in the BBC mystery drama together, contacted authorities after the anonymous fan posted a picture of a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, saying “Shall we start prepping for a possible funeral?”
The anonymous blogger also wrote: “Both Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington are starting to give Benedict and all his fans a bad name! They seriously just need to shut up and f****** die already!”

British actress Amanda Abbington has resolved her money troubles a year after she was declared bankrupt.
The Mr Selfridge castmember, who is married to her Sherlock co-star Martin Freeman, was declared bankrupt in March, 2013 after failing to pay a tax bill for $198,400 (£124,000).
Abbington insisted she was working towards settling the debt, and she has now confirmed her money issues are over, telling Britain's Mail on Sunday newspaper, "It's all been sorted out now. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
