Prospect Park, the production company responsible for returning the canceled network soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live to fans via the Internet, said on Thursday that it is cutting the number of new episodes for each of those shows to two a week -- Mondays and Wednesdays for AMC and Tuesdays and Thursdays for OLTL. In a letter to viewers, Prospect Park producers Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz noted that viewers have been trying to watch the shows in binge sessions -- taking in several episodes at a time. When it comes to online viewing, most of us are just trying to find time to watch series comprised of 13 to 22 episodes a season -- so asking viewers to assign time for over 100 episodes per show is a daunting task, Frank and Kwatinetz wrote. We feel fortunate to be an online company and to have such an opportunity to adapt, they added. Of course, we will continue to evaluate all the data that comes in and will be vigilant about revising our strategy as needed.
