Alicia Keys was back to her soulful best at the Monster CES Party at Paris Ballroom, Las Vegas last night.
Showing off her toned stomach in a revealing yet classy ensemble, Keys was hitting the customery high notes that no performance of hers can go without. The R ‘n’ B star kicked off the ceremony with a performance of her latest hit Girl On Fire, before swapping between piano and standing sections to wow the crowd.
Between being a singer, writer, producer and a mother, it's hard to see how Keys find the time to write new material, and perform with such gusto. But she does it, and does it masterfully. Speaking about the recording process of her album, the 31-year-old singer previously said: 'Before making this record, in some ways I felt like a lion locked in a cage. I felt like a girl misunderstood that no one really knew, I felt like it was time to stop making excuses for any part of my life that I wanted to change. Once I made that choice I became a Girl on Fire, the lion broke free! (sic)" (via Daily Mail).
Next up for the confident soulster in 2013 is a U.K tour, starting with nights in Liverpool and Newcastle on the 18th and 19th of may respectively, followed by Belfast on the 21st, Manchester on the 24th and Birmingham on the 25th. It seems at the age of 31, Keys shows no signs of slowing down.
