The musical legacy of Alice In Chains rocker Mike Starr will be celebrated at a special memorial show on Thursday (07Mar13) to mark the second anniversary of his death.

The musician, who had a history of substance abuse problems, was found dead at a house in Salt Lake City, Utah on 8 March, 2011.

His friends and family are now staging a one-off concert in Seattle, Washington to celebrate his life and musical achievements.

In a post on her page, Starr's sister Melinda writes, "I hope to see you all here! Looking forward to seeing many familiar faces that I haven't seen in way too long. Mike Starr forever!!! Let's have a party that would make Mike proud."
