Alexander Skarsgard, the star of US vampire drama True Blood, has posed nude for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. He was joined on the photo-shoot for September's issue by fellow True Blood cast members Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. The trio, who together form a love triangle in the EMMY AWARD drama, are smeared in fake blood, with the headline reading, 'True Blood: They're Hot. They're Sexy. They're Undead". In an interview with the magazine, Skarsgard revealed he has no inhibitions when it comes to nudity, he said, "If we're naked in the scene, then I'm naked. I've always been that way."
The Swedish actor who plays Eric Northman in True Blood has also featured in the popular series Generation Kill, in which he played Brad Colbert, and in 2009, he appeared in the music video for Lady GaGa's song Paparazzi. Although HBO have signed up True Blood for a fourth series - due to hit screens next summer - Skarsgard continues to work on other projects and he's set to feature in the 2011 film Straw Dogs - a remake of the 1971 original starring Dustin Hoffman, as well as in the action movie Battleship, due out in 2012.
The new issue of Rolling Stone magazine is out now.
