Director Alex Halpern turns his camera on his ancient grandmother "Nana" (she's 96 at the beginning of the film and pushes well into her 100s by the end) in the hopes that she'll dispense wisdom for the ages. In 80 minutes, we don't get much, just a collection of memories about her kids and various historical events. Thankfully, Nana is still spry and quick of wit and occasionally she divulges a bit about her thoughts on life and death. She also knows when she's being played, and she cracks wise on occasion. But these moments are mere interruptions to the film as a whole, a rambling and scattered collection of scenes and archival footage about the minutiae of Nana's life.
