Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Thomas have announced their are expecting their first child together and revealed the news is a ''wonderful surprise''.
The 'It's Complicated' actor and his wife of eight months haved described the pregnancy as a ''wonderful surprise'' and are over the moon at the good news.
Hilaria revealed the big announcement on the 'Extra' show on Tuesday (12.02.13), telling the audience: ''We've having a baby. [It] was a surprise, a wonderful surprise.''
Alec, 54, admitted he was oblivious to the fact his wife had taken a pregnancy test until he heard her ''scream'' in the bathroom of their home when it came out positive, and feels extremely lucky to be a father again.
The silver fox - who already has a 17-year-old daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger - said: ''There's a scream I heard, which is a scream normally reserved [for] if there's a spider in the house.
''We're in the country, it's quiet, some time to really relax and unwind and sometimes, once a month, you hear 'Ahhh, Alec, Alec!' I come upstairs, and there's a spider on the wall. So then I hear that scream again, but it was not a spider.''
Hilaria, 28, chipped in: ''It was followed by, 'I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!' He runs up the stairs and I'm holding it [the test] and showing it to him.''
Alec concluded: ''We can joke all about it, but it's honestly the most amazing moment. We are really sharing something special.''
Even at this early stage, yoga instructor Hilaria is aware of the changes to her body and is already planning how to decorate the baby's room.
She said: ''I'm showing. This is actually gonna happen, now we can start the nursery, the everything, the dreaming!''
