Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria is doing her bit for her elderly New York neighbours who have been left without power in the wake of superstorm Sandy - she's leading a grocery store drop.

Millions are still without basic essentials in the Big Apple and Hilaria, who is a presenter on Tv news show Extra, is determined to do her bit in the hope others will follow her lead.

She went shopping with Tv cameras on Thursday (01Nov12) and picked up supplies for those struggling in Sandy's aftermath.

And via the show, Hilaria is encouraging other New Yorkers to help if they can: "If you can do anything to help out New York it would be greatly appreciated. Let's get our city back up and running."
