Review of Vagabond's album 'You Don't Know The Half Of It'

Vagabond You Don't Know The Half Of It Album

Brought together such as exotic locations as Uruguay, Denmark and Huddersfield are Vagabond, a quintet who formed last year and are now releasing their debut album. They've supported the likes of The Script and James Morrison and grace this year's V Festival.

Given their impressive work with Girls Aloud, you could be forgiven for thinking that this record produced by Xenomania might contain a pop gem or two. Happily for the girls, the masterminds seem to keep the tunes exclusively for the female of the species, because 'You Don't Know The Half Of It' is absolutely abysmal. 'Sweat (Until The Morning )' is as sleazy as the title suggests and things don't get any better - the falsetto of 'Don't Wanna Run No More' is particularly ill-advised and 'I Know A Girl' an embarrassing attempt at funk. The R'n'B-lite 'Drifting' is so poor that Another Level would have rejected it and throw in a few half-hearted dance attempts and it soon becomes evident that this is not to be the next big boy band. Just when it seems things can't get much worse 'I Said Hello' presents a breathy vocal from Alex Vargas that goes beyond sleaze to the realms of creepiness - time for the eject button!

I must say that this review is, as Mr LAI wrote, "ABYSMAL"...if you have any sense of good music, then you will enjoy this album, i took my fiancee to see Vagabond on 17/08/2009 and they were amazing, no two ways about it, simply stunning...now to the writing style of the reviewer, or should i say Critic?? hmmm...this guy didn't want the album to be good from the start by the way he words this...take it from someone who has got the album, who has been to see them and has at least a good taste in music, Vagabond are amazing and The Daily Mail, who must i add, are not easy to please, even said, and i quote: "Vagabond could be the worlds biggest band in 5 years"...nuff said i think...GET THIS ALBUM!!!!

The person who wrote this story should be shot. This album is brillant, and all other songs associated with it are to. (for example Alex Vargas - Bored Little Rich Girl). If the person who wrote this had any real musical taste then they will know a good band when they hear one. Please support Vagabond and Alex Vargas. All their songs are the best ever, and i don't know why they haven't hit the big time yet. SUPPORT ALEX VARGAS.
