Vadoinmessico - Pepita, Queen of the Animals Album Review

Following on from their debut single 'Curling Up Your Spine', Vadoinmessico released 'Pepita, Queen of the Animals' on September 26th 2011.

The delightfully amateurish video was shot by Russell Weekes and sees the five piece decked out in gorilla suits, with the lead singer singing into a banana. There's also the occasional glimpse of a giant hand or feet, which gives the implication that the 'gorillas' are being controlled from up above and the breezy afrobeat tune is sure to brighten up your day.

The members of the London based band hail from all corners of the globe: Giorgio Poti; Salvador Garza; Stefan Miksch; Alessandro Marrosu and Joe White. Their debut self titled EP was released in 2010 and their debut single Curling Up Your Spine received enthusiastic support from Radio 1's Huw Stephens and XFM's John Kennedy, as well as a positive reaction online.

More recently, the band have been compared to the likes of Arcade Fire, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Animal Collective.
