Alan Rickman will join his Harry Potter co-star Daniel Radcliffe on the New York stage later this year (11) after signing up for a new Broadway play.
Radcliffe has been wowing theatre crowds in the Big Apple in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and now fellow Brit Rickman, who plays cold teacher Severus Snape in the hit Potter film franchise, has been announced as the leading man in Seminar, a new production by Theresa Rebeck, which will open in the autumn (11).
Rickman will play a literary legend who teaches wannabe writers.
It's his first Broadway outing since Private Lives in 2002.
