Actor Alan Cumming has ruled himself out of the latest X-Men movie, insisting he won't be available to reprise his Nightcrawler character.

Fellow Scot James MCAvoy mentioned Cumming while listing the cast of new movie X-Men: Days of Future Past in a recent interview, suggesting the X2: X-Men United star would be back as the teleporting blue demon, but the actor insists he hasn't even been asked to consider an X-Men comeback.

He says, "I know the one that's coming up shoots this spring, but I wouldn't be available anyways... I don't think they (producers) have (asked). I was gonna meet my manager for dinner later, I was gonna ask him, but no, I'm sure they would've told me, had they approached."

According to reports, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, MCAvoy and Michael Fassbender will be back for the latest X-Men movie and French actor Omar Sy will make his debut in the franchise. Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian MCKellen are also expected to return to the franchise for the latest film.
