English playwright Alan Ayckbourn penned the screenplay to 1988 movie A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL in just one day. Director Michael Winner paid a visit to Ayckbourn's London home after acquiring the rights to the film - and refused to leave until the writer provided him with a script. Ayckbourn says, "I went into the study and he sat smoking cigars. I wrote the film script in eight hours and I gave it to him at the end of the day and said, 'Now f**k off.'"
